Nyksund Ekspedisjonen

Der Ort hat sehr viel Charme. Die Zimmer sind sehr einfach aber liebevoll eingerichtet und sauber. Das Essen im Restaurant ist sehr gut. Alle sind äusserst freundlich und aufmerksamen. Kuchen ist super fein. Ein Ort zum Verweilen für zwei Nächte.

We came to Nyksund to see the site with friends. The weather was rather bad, but we decided to have dinner whilst waiting for the rain to stop. The meny was quite good, mainly seefood. We were greeted with style and enjoyed a great meal.

We have 2 things here: Restaurant friendly waiters, food ok, prices reasonable So nothing to complain about Hotel: This for us was nightmare A corner room ( nr 8) opposite of a abandoned building where seagulls are screaming constantly. And windows are thin. The noise is not doable.. And our very thin wall is attached to a livingroom that can be used by all people in the hotel. We can hear literally every laugh or talk they have. We asked people to be quiet but they weren’t even loud. Staff can’t do anything about the noise of those hundreds of nesting seagulls now. But no isolation, thin walls, etcetc makes this the worst hotel we have booked. if there would be another hotel near we would leave now straight away. Also mold in the shower and loads of dust in the ventilator. Send complaint but no reaction

Piccolo bed and breakfast con ristorante annesso situato nel remoto villaggio di Nyksund. Molto caratteristico, stanza piccolina ma dotata di tutto l'essenziale e di una bella vista sul villaggio. Colazione buona, prevalentemente salata.

Small room but cosy and well decorated next to a very convenient common kitchen Very nice welcome for check in But bad welcome for breakfast : we arrived too early at 08:00 not knowing it was open at 08:30. The person in charge was very inpolite with us and it happened again when we had breakfast (there was no tea, probably forgotten, but when I asked, I received a rude answer). The breakfast was not very good anyway. Again the room was very pleasant in a very nice village

This has to be Nyksund's best restaurant. Nyksund is a very small place but they have 2-3 other restaurants. I can't imagine the food being any better on the other places. First let me start by the beer selection. They had a lot to choose from. Local Norwegian beer from Harstad and Senja and top class German beers. The owner is German, so he knows his beers. The food was amazing, so fresh and tasty. You would think that a small place like this can't have that amazing food but yes. I ordered mussels steamed with a creamy white wine sauce with French fries. The mussels came from Tromsø. My girlfriend ordered a carbonara with dried fish and my in-laws ordered grilled klippfisk (salted and dried cod) with chorizo sauce and fresh vegetables. The fish was caught the same day or the day before. If you ever come to Nyksund. Go to Expedisjonen.
