海瑟利特飯店(Hotel Hesselet)

Hotellet bære præg af at det er fra 60.erne. Salondøre til toilet på værelset er ikke op i tiden, gammelt B@O og gamle stikkontakter der hænger ud af væggen er heller ikke charmerende. Drinks i baren til overpriser glæder ikke stedet. Billigendeheden til vandet er fantastisk.

Wir hatten ein modernes Superior Zimmer mit Meerblick und einen großen Balkon, leider waren die Tische innen und außen nicht sauber, was aber nach Reklamation umgehend behoben wurde. Als Wiedergu**achung bekamen wir eine Kanne Kaffee aufs Zimmer serviert. Zimmer ist groß und schön. Der Spa Bereich mit Pool und Whirlpool war angenehm groß und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Sonst wäre noch zu erwähnen, das die Bettdecken sehr dick waren, diese wurden am nächsten Tag auf unsere Bitte gewechselt. Die Klimaanlage konnte nicht ausgestellt werden (defekt?) nur die Temperatur hochstellen und dann stellte sich die Heizung an und es war dementsprechend viel zu warm nachts. Ob man ein deutsches TV Programm (ARD) als ausreichend erachtet, mag Jeder für sich entscheiden. Das Frühstück war typisch dänisch, die Auswahl an 3 Tagen gleich. Irritiert haben uns die Krümel auf den benutzen Tischen, die auch nur teilweise abgeräumt wurden. Wir hatten nicht den Eindruck, dass das Personal (2 Personen) überfordert war, zumal nicht viele Gäste anwesend waren.

We spent one night in a nice room, with a great view to the sea. The room was more than enough, with everything we needed (see pictures). We also had dinner there. The food was very good, with different options, and every dish we tried was good. They also had the attention to bring something more appropriate to our 3 years old that is not used to a more fancy way of presenting the food. It was a very pleasant stay that we recommend!!

I was looking forward to our stay here, it was out most expensive accommodation for a 3 week trip. It was horrible. The check in girl was nice, but after that it went down hill. The room was a sauna. It was horribly hot so we thought we would just open the windows and get some air. Unfortunately it was surrounded by huge spiders and no screen to stop them from coming in. My husband killed a few in 1 window so we could open it for a few minutes but even he wasn’t getting near the big one (pic). No other resolution when we came to the front desk to tell them our room was so hot. Decided that well- if we are going to be hot we might as well enjoy our evening in the hot tub (a big reason we booked here) - but alas, it was cold. Again, no resolution for that from the front desk. They also don’t have towels down at the spa/pool area which was very odd- and if you didn’t look on the floor of the closet in your room under the slippers, you wouldn’t have known that’s where the towel is that you are supposed to take with you (we found it as we were leaving). It has a fridge, which was essential for us and a deciding factor (meds that need refrigerated) - but it didn’t work. Come morning, everything is warm and destroyed. We didn’t sleep well at all with the room so hot (it had to be at least 75f, 24c in there). Packed up and went to grab breakfast just before 9am. Was a breakfast buffet. The fruit and bread were good. Hot food wasn’t hot or the container was empty, so if you plan to have hot food you apparently need to go much earlier. It was nice to finally see the ocean though during breakfast since our room overlooked the roof and parking lot. We stayed in a 1bedroom apar**ent in downtown Copenhagen for half the cost of this place and it was far more comfortable. Maybe in the winter this place would be good when you need it warm inside. But in the summer (even when it’s not very hot outside) it is just far too hot inside the room without the AC working. The amenities are broken and need updated. The old tv remote was so large and heavy you could kill someone if you hit them in the head with it. Told the front desk all the problems and disappoin**ent when we left in the morning. They didn’t seem to care. I highly suggest you move on. There has to be far better places than this at a much less cost.

Comfortable, very food food, stay only at the renovated rooms floor 4.

PROS: + Gorgeous attention to detail; everything from the taps to the carpets feels polished and beautifully designed + The views! The windswept seascape looks like something right out of a novel. + Even a basic room is spacious. + Soft bedding and crisp linens. + Service is impeccable. + Definitely take a meal at the restaurant, which features very fresh ingredients. Also friendly for vegetarians. + Was there for a conference, and the rooms for presenting are warm and inviting. CONS: - The closet in my room backed up to the closet in another room, so I could hear quite loudly their hangers, open/closing doors and drawers, etc. BOTTOM LINE Utterly charming. Feels both as if you are stepping away from the hustle-bustle, while maintaining a connection to modern comforts. Would return in a heartbeat.
