Far and away the single best hotel experience I’ve had in my decades of travel. The attentiveness, consideration. And professionalism of the staff are matched by the serenity, beauty, and distinctness of their location. 5/5 would do it again.

Spent 2 nights with my family at Glendevon bungalow and it was one of the best ever.. A wonderful place to relax and rejuvenate without any hindrance. From the moment we stepped into the bungalow and even before ( inquiring about our whereabouts and giving directions) the service provided by Madushanka and team was exceptional catering to every one of our requests and needs without hesitation. Hats off to the chef for cooking us some good food be it both local or western which we thoroughly enjoyed including my two kids. Looking forward to coming back again!! Lahiru Wijesinghe

Accueil chaleureux et humain par Salinda et son équipe, qui font tout pour que l’on se sente bien. Nous sommes partis dans les collines avec Salinda pour aller dans les plantations, longue promenade et explications sur le lieu, son histoire, le renouveau du manoir écossais, qui a commencé à accueillir des voyageurs en 1938. Le livre d’or se feuillette dans le salon. On est à la limite de la jungle et des cultures. La cuisine est soignée, le feu de cheminée accompagné la soirée à merveille. Petit déjeuner dans le mur stype écossais, dans le jardin. Enchanteur. On quitte le lieu en se disant au revoir…

The banglow was nice and surrounded by scenery. Staff is nice and polite. They arranged us a tuk ride to the highest point of the area and that was a nice ride in between the tea estates. Food was good too. I tried western dishes and local dishes.

visited Scottish Bungalow on 09 of December 2023 with my family of 4 .Booked Stuart Suit for our stay. It's a renovated old Bungalow situated inside a Tea plantation managed by a staff of 5. Road to the Bungalow through the estate is bit difficult and gives you an idea about plantation estate worker's living conditions and difficult living. The hotel is filled with old furniture and basic amenities. Electric supply and water heating are a bit temperamental. It's 4 room Hotel and food is provided ala carte. Hotel Chef seems to be very dedicated and innovative. So food always came fresh, tasty with a bit of a local twist. Due to rain and lack of time, we could not climb Maha kudu gala mountain near by. But we had a nice walk in the tea plantation. Dedication of Hotel staff and their attempt to make you comfortable and feel 🙏 welcome is commendable.

Magnifique petit hôtel écossais au milieu de plantations de thé. L’accueil est fantastique et nous nous sentons extrêmement privilégiés d’avoir pu y séjourner. Personnel aux petits soins. Les repas sont copieux et préparé avec beaucoup de soins et certains fruits et légumes viennent de leur production personnelle. La literie est confortable, le parquet magnifique et la petite (fausse) cheminée dans la chambre apporte du charme tout en chauffant pour les soirées un peu fraîches (altitude oblige) Les après-midi sont parfois un peu brumeux (on pourrait se croire en Ecosse) mais le salon est très confortable et propice à la lecture ou la détente. Prévoir une petite laine au cas où mais nous avons eu la chance d’avoir un joli feu de cheminée pendant le dîner. Manufacture de thé à visiter à proximité

Most perfect stay. Nice breath taking views and calm environment. Meals and cocktails are exceptional. Staff is very helpful and friendly. It's like home away from home. Actually its very relax and a beautiful memory to be remembered forever.

Scottish planter bungalow is like a heaven on this mother Sri Lankan soil. It brings the pleasant climate on this beautiful misty land blend with nature filled with lot of greenery & more than 50 bird species. I went with my family. It was an unmemorable experience for all of us. This is the first time we ever had been to Ragala. Soon after I made the booking Mr. Thennakoon called me from the bungalow who inquired about the room arrangement simply because my family was too big. I felt the warmth of rich Sri Lankan hospitality through out my stay, where sharing & caring was felt by all of us from the bottom of our hearts. Staff was waiting to welcome us & never was in a hurry which made our stay a calm enjoyable one. The bungalow had been completely restored in a manner some one can admire the English architecture. All the technology used is very simple & beautiful, teaching the simple human life style. We enjoyed three meals made by the Chef, which were delicious & all my children enjoyed their taste a lot. Mr. Madusanka, Mr. Mogan & all the other staff members were simply amazing when comes to the preservation of admirable human qualities which are beyond the majority. Thank you very much for making my family happy!
