We loved this hotel, the surrounding, the stuff, the food - everything was just perfect! We will definitely stay here again when we come back to Sri Lanka

für 3 tage wurde goatfell auf unserer sri lanka rundreise unser zuhause! wer könnte sich nicht verlieben... benannt nach dem höchsten berg der schottischen insel arran spürten wir hier die höche von fast 2'000 meter höhe, da wir leider regnerische und vor allem unerwartet kalte und neblige tage erwischten. ich liess mir den abend- und morgenschwumm im schönsten pool aller hotels jedoch nicht nehmen: 14 grad luft-, wasser- und haustemperaturen forderten uns, jedoch bemühten sich die so freundlichen angestellten mit feuermachen, bettflaschen und morbilder elektroheizung im zimmer für unser wohlbefinden. was aussererordentlich herausstach war das herausragende essen! wir lieben sri lanka essen und insbesondere beim frühstück liessen wir uns verwöhnen. der weg ist wie bereits in den bewertungen tatsächlich weit von nurawa elia entfernt, jedoch würden wir wieder hierher zurückkehren. wir danken allen angestellten für ihre sehr angenehme, zurückhaltende und trotzdem professionelle arbeit...

Selecto Hotel para descansar y aislarse rodeado de campos de Te. Temperatura fantástica (20-24ºC) a 2.000 Mts ... Trato excelente, habitación fantástica muy cuidada con salida al jardín del hotel. Pasear por los campos de Te.. una delicia.

Goatfell e’ un cottage all’inglese immerso nelle piantagioni di the nei monti di Nuwara Eliya. Si raggiunge questo piccolo paradiso di sole 4 stanze dopo una strada piuttosto tortuosa. Lo sforzo e’ ripagato da una vista d’incanto. Le camere sono tutte ampie e molto ben arredate. Stesso discorso vale per i bagni. Ogni stanza ha una sua porzione di giardino. Il cottage si affaccia su un bel prato all’ inglese in cui e’ collocata la bella (e fredda) piscina a sfioro di fronte alle colline. Lo staff e’ professionale e molto gentile. Le zone comuni prevedono due salotti nel più grande dei quali la sera viene acceso il caminetto. C’è poi una piccola sala da pranzo che si usa solo la sera perché a colazione si mangia nella terrazza. La formula e’ full boarding. Comprende tutti i pasti, the nel pomeriggio e tutte le bevande. Si mangia molto bene. Molti piatti sono conditi o accompagnati da verdure ed odori del bell’orto organico al lato della sala da pranzo. L’attenzione all’ambiente e’ altissima. Come attività, oltre al relax, consiglio una bella passeggiata nelle piantagioni di the che si può fare in sicurezza con un device fornito dal cottage. Se si vuole si possono utilizzare due bici o fare un giro simile con un Tuk Tuk.

We recently visited Sri Lanka for our honeymoon with a 15 day private tour around the island. We stayed in around 8 different hotels and BY FAR Goatfell was our absolute favourite of them all by a mile ( even beating Uga Chena huts and Amangalla). The property is absolutely beautiful, hidden away at the top of the mountain with stunning views over the tea plantations. The interior is divine, feeling like you have arrived and are staying In a stylish home rather than a hotel - we instantly felt at home and so comfortable from the moment we arrived. Our bedroom was so spacious, clean and with all the amenities we could need. We even had an allocation of washing included which was needed as w were halfway through our two week trip! The food was some of the best food that we ate over the course of the two weeks. From breakfast ( at the hotel and even packed up for us one morning as we had to leave at 5:30am to climb mountain plains) to the lunch and the dinner and not to forget the afternoon tea! We loved how music was played during the meals as it made it feel that extra comfortable and relaxing. And the biggest highlight of it all - the amazing staff. From the moment we arrived we were greeted by their big smiles, huge hearts and gentle and caring nature. They went above and beyond to make our stay so comfortable and we instantly felt so relaxed and like we were home from home. We even went on a last minute hunt around the property with one of the staff to try and find the horn nosed lizard and then were sent on our way with a big packed lunch for our travels to the next hotel. We both left Goatfell feeling relaxed, recharged and emotional at such a wonderful stay. The staff are truly magical and we would recommend to anyone going to this are of Sri Lanka that they must stay here. We really hope that one day, we will be back. It was an amazing boutique hotel with lovely nature of misty hills. The staff was very helpful guided by resident manager Nishantha. Food was excellent and we had the option of requesting our own menu.
