Hidden Lake Campground and Resort

Our cabin at Hidden Lake Campground and Resort was amazing; all that we had hoped for and more. The accommodations were clean, convenient WELL equipped and comfortable. The management ensured that our stay would be exceptional. The resort had tons of activities all included and the location was ideal for our sightseeing.

Great campground, attentive host, friendly and responded within seconds to my text, even brought out a hacksaw to help us do a repair. Would definitely go back and bring the whole family next time. Great Lake where the kids can fish swim or just float around.

Hidden Lake is fantastic! We book the entire resort for our family reunion! We have have the best time “Hidden in the Hill” the lake, the cabins, the playground, the camper spaces, the ice cream in the store….we love it all. We’ve been there twice and hope to keep coming back. Great price point. My only complaint was I forgot to pack flip flops and the SD rocks on the road hurt the feet!

Friendly and accommodating owners/staff. Comfortable, full hook up campground. Canons and back-in and long pull-through sites, playground, outdoor games like horseshoes and cornhole, lake. Very easy access from the north on 385. Not so easy through road construction in Hot Springs from the south. Highly recommend.

Located away from highway on a hill that has some views and gives a feeling of open space. Typical utility hookups are in good shape. Level parking sites. Friendly staff. Pond has clear water with a jumping dock and beach. There is a game box with outdoor activities. Common areas are nicely landscaped and maintained. Centrally located showers/laundry/garbage drop. Most pad sites are spaced about 22 feet center to center. There are no shade trees for a majority of sites. Fire rings are 35 feet from picnic tables that you are verboten to move. Fishing is permitted, but at an extra $10/person, and it is catch and release. There are hardly any grocery or convenience items in the store, mainly souvenirs. Overall experience was very good - the place has an intimate feel.

On our 4th trip to teh Black Hilos, Tykewife said she would like to stay in a cabin. I looked and found that the campgound also had some cabins. AND THE PRICE WAS RIGHT. Minnium stay is 2 days - no problem. We stayed 2 days this time and next time I am planning for 3. NIce location. Only cery sligth negatives - no wifi or cable tv and store/reception hours. No big deal and it is nice to be unplugged. Cabin ( we had #1 ) was nice. Bed comfortable. I can't imagine that we will stay anywhere else when we visit Hot Springs.
