Il valore aggiunto della struttura è indubbiamente... Stan, il padrone di casa: accogliente, estremamente disponibile per qualsiasi esigenza, allegro e coinvolgente, pronto a consigliare visite, itinerari, pubs e a cucinare colazioni gustose. La struttura rispecchia la sua personalità, può non incontrare i gusti di tutt,i ma Stan mette a disposizione dei suoi ospiti tutta la casa. La mia valutazione tiene conto dell'atmosfera in cui ci si trova, fermo restando la comodità della camera, la pulizia e il parcheggio accanto. Ottimo punto di partenza per il Vallo di Adriano, Newcastle, Holy Island e Durham

Wir sind im Dorset Arms spät abends eingecheckt, da die eigentlich gebuchte Ferienwohnung nicht zumutbar war. Der Besitzer war so nett, uns zu dieser späten Stunde noch aufzunehmen. Er ist sogar früh aufgestanden, um uns Frühstück zu machen vor unserem Rückflug. Das Einzige, was wir zu bemängeln hatten, war, dass er unsere hilflose Lage ausgenutzt hat und für das Zimmer für 1 Nacht 140 Euro verlangt hat. Dies war das Zimmer nicht wert. Es war zwar sauber, aber ziemlich alt und hatte Schimmel in der Nähe der Fenster. Wir fühlten uns abgezockt.

I stayed at the Dorset Arms with a friend last week as we were walking the Hadrian's Wall path over the following week. I have previously stayed here and it stuck in my mind as it was so convenient and friendly. The hotel had everything we needed and was spotlessly clean and nice and quiet for a good night's sleep. The breakfast in the morning was also top notch with everything you could want. There was even honey from the hotel garden which was lovely. The owner Stan is such a nice guy and my friend and I really enjoyed speaking with him. My friend parked his car at the hotel and it was 100% safe and secure. Stan and his staff deserve a 10/10 score for running a great hotel and for being so welcoming. Hopefully I will be back sometime. I highly recommend this hotel. Sam

Lovely experience .. friendly staff beautiful comfortable room and amazing fresh hot full English breakfast cooked personally for you. Toast, yogurt, pastry. Juice, coffee all readily available .. would stay again great value for money Cheers Stan Regards Tina & Dan … we will visit again x

Stayed for a night while we were up for the Kylie concert. Loved our stay. From the moment we walked in we were made to feel like family by Stan (the owner) and his mum. Helped us with advice on where to eat and places to visit. Room was great. Spacious and comfortable. The cooked breakfast the next morning was excellent and a nice selection for the continental breakfast all served with a friendly smile. Will definitely stay again.

I stayed here on business for a night and here are my thoughts- Pros - Very friendly and helpful staff Good decorations throughout the hotel Hotel parking Breakfast included with room Breakfast was nice from a range of the usual to a cooked breakfast it was pretty good food Bed was comfy enough Good water pressure for the shower Cons- Rooms on the small side Rooms could do with a little TLC No WiFi which isn't practicable on a business stay Walls are very thin
