Lachung is the second town/village tour while travelling North Sikkim. This is the pit stop for visiting areas like Zero Point, Yumthang Valley, Hot Springs, etc. This is a newer property and you could smell the fresh paints when entering the room(personally I like the smell of fresh emulsions, if you’re allergic check in advance). As with the Lachen property of Rufina, this is also has standard amenities like geyser, 2 quilts and a decent bed. The windows in the hotel rooms were not locking properly and the topmost window sill didn’t close completely as a wire was going outside of it. In such freezing temperatures that is a challenge. Though if you close the blinds you might get some protection. The food standard and quality is okish with minimal spread like what we got in Lachen. Overall the rufina properties are quite alike. If you find one good, the subsequent ones will have the same features as the previos.

訪訪客用戶This hotel is luxurious, lavish and extremely hygienic. At check-in we were greeted by a receptionist who handed us the keys. The room was in general well-kept. Extra bed, towels and toiletries were provided on-demand. However, as soon as we stepped into the room, we were greeted with an electric blackout. What is not expected by guests at such an expensive hotel is that you have timings for the generator! Guests are paying so much money! The least we could expect is 24/7 generator backup! The intercom ceased to work, so we had to approach the reception who refused to switch on the generator even at 6 PM, which was an hour after which it was supposed to be switched on. Finally, power was restored by the generator, after we demanded it. However, hot water took time. At the restaurant, we were told that we were the only guests in the hotel for the next couple of days hence, the buffet was not available. The food at both breakfast and dinner was amazing however, the breakfast service was rather slow. The restaurant was soothing to look at with an all-white interior. Day one was full of problems. However, the second day went flawlessly with exceptional service. We ended our stay with a picture at the panoramic views offered at the premises and outside seating areas.
VVans129“Brilliant views ” If I would say 1 word to pick this place it will be the view of the rooms overlooking the majestic mountains . Totally breathtaking Pros Staff were polite and courteous Rooms are well maintained Magnificent view from rooms - ask for this Cons Buffet breakfast was quiet below avg - steam bread , poha and upma for the price we paid was not expected In room dining - is very limited in terms of choice and quiet expensive plus it’s pure vegetarian
Hotel is on the way to Yumthang valley. Room service is very good. Rooms are wooden and are comfortable to stay. Manager Lakpa is there to make sure you are well served from all aspects. Kitchen and food is really good compared to other places. Tip : If you order rice here, ask them steam rice and not cooker rice.
