"Another exceptional vist. Me and my family vist every year and enjoy our stay every time. There is so many additional activities on site ,ie the swimming pool wich is great and spacious for all,you have a fantastic games room wich has a pool table, darts board games ,books,DVDs. They have a bird sanctuary with beautiful Emu's ,peacocks and hens.this is great for all. The head maid is great natured and very helpful for all your needs with extra bedding and towels, you can even book a breakfast with her. I have also meet the owner who is very welcoming and always asks if your enjoying your visit and how we are wich is great. Trimstone Manor is basically central to all the tourist attractions and beaches ⛱️ and is perfect for a great stay. I have read the previous reviews and find them a bit over the top it is an old place but don't expect a 5star rating it has a lot of history and has beautiful maintained grounds, so ignore any (perthetic) comments it is a wonderful place and I shall be booking for August and next year. Keep up the good work guys,very happy . Martin James"

"The long drive way to the B& B should be the first clue as to how good it’s going to be. It is set in amazing grounds with views of the distant Heddon Valley At the end of a path in the grounds is the Lynton & Barnstaple steam railways. A short but very pleasant experience which I recommend doing one morning before your travels The owners were both very friendly, chatty and helpful, even when I had a medical emergency (Tick, beware this is tick country!) They have good knowledge of the area so always worth picking their brains Each morning I had an amazing vegi breakfast to fuel me for the days events The facilities were great and for those techi minded the WiFi was very good. I noticed in other reviews about phone covered, but mine was absolutely fine, so I think that depends on your provider, you can always use the WiFi for calls! For those butterfly minded (which is what I was here for), there isn’t just the High Brown Fritillary nearby but also Heath Fritillary, Small Pearl Bordered, Wall and more. Do some research The nearby towns like Lynton are also worth a visit for some chips but the sea Though I didn’t find or use it there is also a path from Woody Bay to the Heddon Valley which is about 2/3 miles All in all a great stay with amazing hosts. I hope to stay here again in the future!"
