Though the room was extremely small and the furnishings were sub-par, I didn't expect better for the price. I had stayed there years ago under a different owner and was pleased. This stay could not have been worse as I did not get 10 seconds of sleep. Though I usually fall asleep easily, between the slightly noisy fridge, and the very noisy heating system, I got no sleep at all. Given the office only opens at 9 am, I had to wait until then to speak to the owner. After listening to all the owner's excuses, he offered and gave me a minor refund. I would NEVER consider staying here if it was the only room available in the city and I'd sleep in my vehicle first.
