沃蘭哲西泰斯特飯店(Vollan Gjestestue)

Didn’t take any pictures of our actual room, but it was as shown in pictures! It was easy to spot the hotel. Also conveniently near supermarket, convenience store and petrol stations. Our room faced the beautiful mountain so it was really nice to wake up to it. Hotel buffet spread was just right and the whole place felt very homely. Staff were friendly as well! Would definitely stay here again.

This review addresses only the hotel. The location is very good (both regionally and locally). There is a also a supermarket and various stores all within 100 metres of the hotel. Reception staff were really welcoming and supportive. Extensive parking. Room was sufficient and comfortable - one of many along a lengthy single rise corridor. Easy access as no stairs anywhere at the property. The accommodation definitely suited our purposes and would return. There is a restaurant attached to the property and that is not addressed here (necessarily reviewed separately).

Camera recente e pulita con letto comodo, smart tv. Ottima colazione molto varia. Possibilità di accesso gratuito a una palestra situata nella piazza. Ho pranzato e cenato al Vollan per una settimana, il ristorante offre varietà di piatti, ben preparati.

Log cabin suite was too hot and Air did not change in The Room at all Even when terrace door was open. Impossible to sleep when conditions are like that. Pillow was soaking wet from sweat. Worst Room ever.

I've stayed here a couple of times this year. Definitely a great choice to stay when visiting Balsfjord or neaby areas. + Comfortable rooms + Location, and grocery store and gas station closeby + Great breakfast, ++ for fresh bread, salmon, bacon and an overall good selection. + Nice restaurant serving a variety of local foods + Free coffee from the coffee machine with several choices + Friendly staff + Free parking, several parking spots + Early check-in upon request Nothing to complain about - maybe the lack of 'extra' facilities. Nestled in a valley surrounded by lush green mountains, Vollan ‘Guesthouse’ is a gem of a hotel. There is very little to Nordkjosbotn apart from the new Mack brewery and the junction of two of the North’s main highways (E6 and E8), but the nice location and quality of this hotel makes it an ideal place for long-distance travellers to stay en route. The rooms are modern, spacious, nicely appointed and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was superb, with non-standard items such as chorizo, blue cheese, different kinds of smoked fish and a lovely fruit selection. Reflecting its location, the cafe is somehow a more salubrious, Scandinavian version of the British transport cafe, serving everything from coffee, cakes and sandwiches to full meals with basic but wholesome ingredients. Portions are generous and the food is excellent - Scandinavian home cooking at reasonable prices, not overpriced and no bogus gastronomy. Although Nordkjosbotn is a stopping off point rather than a destination, this was definitely the nicest hotel I stayed in, during a 3-week trip in Arctic Norway. So I would advise anyone on such a trip to plan to stop off there.

Comfortable room, good food in the restaurant for dinner. Wide variety of food for breakfast. Overall, a good place to stay overnight while traveling around northern Norway.
