Let me preface this by saying we have been staying at Hampton/Hiltons for over 20 years. In that time, we have caused zero issues during our stays. I pride myself on being a very honest person. Now our experience...This was a short trip for our family to enjoy a Christmas/New Years inexpensive overnight trip. We ordered pizza, tired the kids out in the pool and spent some time playing cards while the kids slept. We left the next day after sleeping in and unfortunately missing breakfast. The pool was not as warm as other hotels, but still fun. The location was kind of busy, but easy to get to. All in all, it was a successful trip....UNTIL I was reconciling my check book. We were initially charged $150 two times. This was in addition to and separate from our regular hotel room fees. Then one of the $150 was refunded. I called and asked why we were charged $150. I was informed that after we left housekeeping FOUND the curtains broken on the floor (all of the clips broken!!) We were informed we LEFT it that way. Let me be very clear, we would NEVER leave a room in such disarray!! And from my experience with hotels, pulling and breaking those curtains would require so much force, you literally would have to Tarzan from the curtains to cause that much damage. Completely ridiculous and definitely didn't happen on our watch. We are being told by management that there is nothing they can do. Are you kidding me?? And also, we were never even notified that there was damaged, shouldn't you contact the customer before you just charge their account so much?? All in all-customer service nowadays is gone. Make sure you CYA if you stay here. Take pictures of your room because I definitely will be in my future stays, but I definitely won't stay here!!
