Magical! Our room was beautiful. We watched farmers move their sheep from field to field each morning from our bedroom window. I love a deep bathtub and this one fit the bill. Could relax and see TV from the tub. Our hosts were very helpful and kind. Tim even helped me find our family farm up by Lake Vyrnwy! Had our laundry done (outstanding ironing !), loved the Monkey Puzzle trees out front - 140 years old! Look like succulents on the branches. Very quiet - only 4 rooms here. Absolutely loved our stay and definitely want to come back! Breakfast was delicious!

Stayed here for one night with my daughter and 1 yr old grandaughter whilst we were visiting the royal welsh show. I would highly recommend staying here . We were made very welcome on arrival. Our rooms were lovely full of character, very clean and had amazing views. The beds were so comfortable we had a great nights sleep. Breakfast was really good too we are vegetarian but we had plenty of choice and everything was very tasty. We would love to stay again .

Whilst visiting the Newtown area, we decided to stay here. Very welcoming, very comfortable, good breakfast and a great experience. When leaving the Newtown bypass, make sure that you stick to the A483 as routing software will try to use Middle Dolfor Road, which is single track with passing places.

An absolutely perfect stay. Very comfortable and welcoming. It ticked all the boxes plus more. The bed was one of the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in and the view was incredible. Breakfast was absolutely delicious, including homemade bread and jam.

We booked here as it has an ev charger and was roughly mid way to our Cardiff destination We could not have picked a better place to stay. Room was perfect, bed as comfy as anything, perfect position with great views. The sleep was brilliant with car charging overnight ( 22kw for a reasonable fee) and breakfast the next day was fabulous, honestly we were on a 6 day road trip and this was by far the best ( and the least expensive) hotel we stayed in. I just wish we had planned to stay longer. Love the house, owners were so friendly and accommodating could not ask for more. Will return in our next wales trek.

What a find. We were welcomed by Helen who made us feel at home. Our room was excellent with a newly installed walk in shower, clean fluffy towels and crisp spotless bedding. An extensive breakfast menu and it made a nice change not to have Full English. The toast was made with home made bread and the lovely quince and apricot jam was also home made. We would have no hesitation in recommending The Old Vicarage and would certainly stay again.

What a fantastic B&B..spotless, room was well appointed and so quiet. The hosts, Tim and Helen were very welcoming. Breakfast was a real treat. Two nights of feeling spoilt in a beautiful part of Wales. Would definitely recommend and return.
