Our hostess Sandy was warm and chatty. Nothing was too much bother. The room was warm and comfortable and the breakfast amazing. There is a cosy lounge and only a couple of rooms so it does feel like home from home. A gorgeous and historic property in beautiful surroundings.

A wonderful place to stay, sandy and John are the friendliest hosts. Nothing too much trouble for them and it was a lovely home from home experience. We will be back. The breakfasts were nicely cooked to order which we placed the night before.

We visited Sorbietrees when the Euro football games were on. A clean comfortable and most enjoyable stay here. A first rate hostess, so helpful and friendly, a pleasure to stay at her house. Lovely garden super rooms( marvellous bathroom - could have held a party in it ( but didn’t). Thoroughly delightful. Our hostess was full of useful advice . I’m sure if she could have magicked good weather she would. It was at least dry while we were there. Thank you Sandy. Great to stay

Booked 2 night stay here as had booked a late night session at Kielder Observatory (approx 30 minutes drive) Sandy was a great host and sent lots of information which helped us to plan our stay. There was also additional information on places to visit in the room. Sandy was very accommodating with a later breakfast/check out following our extremely late return from Kielder at 3:45am! Our room was very large with an ensuite bathroom, it was lovely to have tea & coffee making facilities with fresh milk and a selection of drinks and snacks. Breakfast was amazing with locally produced items and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this very remote but beautiful part of the world.
