北紐伯裡希爾頓逸林飯店(DoubleTree by Hilton Newbury North)

We have been to this hotel before, but this time we saw a sign saying that swimming will incur £5 pp charge. I was gutted that I was not advised, as the receptionist said this new policy took place 2 weeks ago. BUT, when we went to the pool, the clerk told us that if you booked from a different provider (trip.com etc) you have a complimentary pass to the pool. If only we knew the first day. But really happy overall.

Very nice hotel, nice dinner

Really not that great. Stayed in a few Hilton hotels and this one was worst then some premier inn’s. In fact I would have preferred a premier inn. During check in I didn’t get the complementary double tree cookie. When I got to the room the little bin hadn’t been emptied. The shower curtain was torn and old A spring in the mattress was pinging all night The air con didn’t work as expected. I was also disappointed that the in room coffee was unbranded coffee. Would not stay here again and would prefer a premier inn as the standard would have been far better.

Vincent, Hannah, Pete & Co treated us like royalty. They were a pleasure to engage with. From check in, to breakfast, to meals & drinks, all the way to final check out was steeped in heartfelt customer experience. They will definitely see us again. Thank you all for the best hotel stay in years! You're all amazing!

No complementary water provided. No fridge in room. Due to Christmas period, dining room closed to guests (after breakfast)! Had to travel away from hotel to get hot food! Although only 2 floors, no lift provided, so luggage carried by hand up stairs. Despite the above, hotel ok for price (i am just used to having more facilities like complementary water and fridge) Staff very good and friendly.

The hotel was convenient for what we needed but it is old and tired and in desperate need of a makeover. The staff are young and inexperienced and do not have any pride in their work. Will not go back. It’s not to the level of a Hilton Doubletree in any way shape or form. Service was abysmal and unacceptable. I did speak to the manager and our food bill was reduced which I was grateful for but I still wouldn’t ever go back.

Having previously had good experience of Hilton Doubletree hotels, this was a big let down. The hotel seemed very dowdy and in need of renovation. Restaurant had a good menu and food was good. However some items were excessively priced (eg a cup of white coffee cost just short of £5) and service charge resulted in a startlingly high cost of our evening meal. Would never consider staying at this establishment again.

Friendly and quick checkin. Door to room had to be slammed to shut which was very noisy. A bit of wear and tear in the room but nothing major. Service in restaurant slow. They brought my starter and main at same time and asked if that was ok. I said no but the starter was wrong anyway so I skipped it. The main chicken stir fry was a big oil soggy mess with hardly any chicken. Surprised to have to pay for parking, normally included if a guest. WiFi was free and good.

swimming pool was very dirty snot in the pool and dirt all around it this was my daughters birthday i was not impressed at all for what i paid.
