Fantastic place to stay. Spacious, clean, with a homely feel. All that you need and more. Loved that you could access Netflix account. Amazing place to stay with a family and close to all amenities 😊😊

Stayed for four nights at The Residence Fitzroy in a two bedroom luxury apartment (apartment no. 6) which was just perfect for our small family group. The apartment was an easy 10-15 minute drive from New Plymouth airport in our hire car and we had no problems finding a space in the on-site parking at the rear of the property (accessed from Sackville Street). The contactless check-in worked perfectly and the key code system for the door allowed everyone in our group to come and go as they pleased. The rooms were stylishly decorated and the different spaces on the top floor (sofa, table with added seating, high bar in the kitchen) provided plenty of space for the family to spread out. It all seemed quite quiet during our stay. The apartments were serviced daily with the option to put up a sign up to say no servicing required (which we did on our one wet day). During our stay we enjoyed a fabulous meal at Juliana's Restaurant at Auto Lodge (a 20 minute walk) and ordered pizzas from Domino's Pizza directly opposite the apartment. We picked up supplies for day trips from Countdown in the Valley Mega Centre (3 minutes drive away by car). The apartment was superbly located for Fitzroy Beach (easily accessed by steps from the end of Sackville Street) which was a great place to chill out in the mornings, watching the surfers tackle the waves. I was quite sorry to leave, feeling that we had only started to explore the delights of New Plymouth at the end of our four nights. I would happily stay here again.

Modern, clean and tidy, but very dark. The kitchen has an oven and a hob, don't expect to cook in this kitchen as it is very poorly equipped, some plates, a couple of pots and a fry pan and very cheap cutlery, no bowls for a salad or for mixing, the utensils were very basic, not really sure why there is a full kitchen and it is not equipped as such, so if you wish to self cater and not wish to bring your kitchen with you go some where else. Also given they advertise as an apartment, every other apartment we have stayed at has a coffee machine, no so, cheap coffee packets, and the tea was terrible too. The living area is paint in a green colour, there are no windows so makes the space very dark. Think for the money this accommodation need to up their anti, there are way better places in New Plymouth

We enjoyed our stay here in and thought it was really great accommodation, it was totally wheelchair friendly and was in a great location. We would definitely recommend to anyone looking for clean , accessible and comfortable accommodation in New Plymouth
