The hotel was nearby the French Quarter, making it convenient to walk to places. Check in was easy. The lobby ear clean. The people were friendly. Let's talk about the room....we booked a double king. Right when you open the door you're met with a wall and the beds were to the left. Not easy to put your bags inside. The mattress was fairly firm, which is fine for me. The pillows were awful though, unless you like squishy pillows that go flat. Next let's talk about the bathroom. I took a shower the first night and noticed I had flooded the floor. On the bottom of the door glass was missing the flap that holds water in. I also noticed large cracks in the shower surround, so there was or is going to be a lot of water damage inside the wall. It took about 8-10 minutes for the water to get hot. That seems wasteful to let a shower run for so long just to warm up enough to comfortably take a shower. We had to ask if they would refill the hand sanitizer by the elevator a couple times, still never was refilled. Overall, I had higher expectations from a Marriott property and this one fell short. I was here on business and brought a friend along. Next time I come to NOLA, I'll look elsewhere.
