Since we were staying only one night, we didn't mind booking the small Newton Room with a queen bed. It was adequate for our needs with private bath and shower. Everything on the first floor was spacious and well appointed. The Keurig coffee maker was supplied with various choices and freshly brewed coffee was brought out before breakfast. All areas on the first floor were well lit at all times, not just during the night. Breakfast was a bit tardy for our 8:30 sign-up time, but Antonio's culinary skills more than made up for the wait with perfectly prepared Eggs Benedict. The Inn was well situated for a strolling walk to nearby restaurants. I can see a return visit and stay in our future.

I'm on the road a lot, and I have been greatly disappointed by so many places in this post-covid world. But it was an absolute pleasure to stay at the Homestead Inn! I reserved the Newton room while attending a horse show in Pawling, NY (about 20 minutes away). Newton is there smallest room at the inn, as I understand, and is perfect for one person! The innkeepers have made great use of this space, and created a place that is delightfully cozy! The common areas at the inn are well-appointed and comfortable. While I didn't have time to partake of the seated breakfast that is available for the guests of the main house, the manager, Nicole, was kind enough to make sure I had coffee and cinnamon rolls to take with me. On top of all of this, the Homestead Inn is a very easy walk to a great town square with an assortment of restaurants for both eat in and take out. Great job, Homestead team! For sure I will stay here again!
