宏迪拉別墅(Villa Hundira)

A very pleasant start to our first-time tour of Sri Lanka. Following the long journey from UK this provided an ideal recuperative two days. The hotel is situated next to a lagoon and very close to the beach also where locals catch and dry fish. Our room was very large (a family room with large balcony on the first floor overlooking the pool) and well equipped. We did have a couple of issues with the air conditioning unit, but the hotel effected running repairs quickly both times. Service was very good throughout; reception, maids and maintenance, porters and bar and dining staff. We ate at the hotel both nights for convenience, but frankly there seems little alternative within walking distance. Breakfast (we had the Western option; fruit, toasts and eggs) and dinner (Sri Lankan) were both enjoyable. The menu was quite limited and the same on each day, so a longer visit may have necessitated finding alternatives.

This was a one night stay as par of an island tour. The Villa is quite quirky and composed of several buildings and a coup,e of swimming pools. We had a room with a pool right at our door. The room was a bit sp****. Clean enough but really just intended for a one night stay. Small toilet and shower but entirely functional. Dinner was very simple and they set up dining areas throughout the property so you felt it was your own private dining experience. We spent the afternoon in the tower which had super views and a great breeze. Lovely staff and a good start to our tour.

We had the pleasure of staying at the beautiful Villa Hundira for the first night of our amazing Sri Lanka holiday in May & June 2023. The room was fabulous, the beds were super comfy, the linen was gorgeous, the pool was wonderfully refreshing and the food and staff service were superb. We were also lucky enough to watch some of the amazingly talented ladies making table cloths, paintings, etc. We would highly recommend this hotel and would advise a minimum stay of two nights as we wished we had done.

C'est le calme de l'endroit qui surprend après une visite de la ville de Negombo. On est loin d'imaginer trouver si proche de la ville un tel lieu. Il regorge d'espaces où se poser en toute quiétude. Une visite des lieux vous est proposée lors de l'arrivée et vous permet de découvrir les coins et recoins de cette villa pas comme les autres. Tout est très propre, la chambre est bien agencée, tout comme la salle de bains (produits et sèche-cheveux à disposition). Chaque repas nous a été servi à un endroit différent, nous faisant découvrir un peu plus le charme du lieu. Mention spéciale au personnel qui est très attentif sans être oppressant. Nous y avons passé trop peu de temps, point de chute avant de partir vers Kandy ; nous aurions prolongé avec plaisir. Je recommande vivement !

Prachtig smaakvol ingericht hotel. Alles is tot in de puntjes afgewerkt en stijlvol gedecoreerd. Twee mooie zwembaden met lekkere ligbedden. Veel leuke zithoekjes, banken en afgeschermde plekken om te zitten. Goede service, lekker eten, vriendelijk personeel. Fijne smaakvol ingerichte kamer. Je kunt er leuke handgemaakte souvenirs kopen en zelfs laten maken in het atelier.

Nous sommes resté une nuit avant de reprendre l’avion , l’aéroport est a 30 min il est super bien situé. La villa est magnifique !! On y mange bien on y dort bien la chambre elle belle et le cadre aussi. Il y’a deux belles piscines. Je recommande.

Wir waren leider nur eine Nacht vom 30.10 auf 1.11.22 in diesem wundervollen Hotel. Es ist unglaublich gemütlich, eine richtige wohlfühl Oase. Jedes Detail stimmt und passt. Tolle geräumige Zimmer, toller Pool und Liegeoase mit Sicht ins Grüne sowie auf die Lagune, wo man zahlreiche Tiere direkt vom Pool aus beobachten kann. Die Küche ist fantastisch. Alle Mitarbeiter sind zuvorkommend und sehr herzlich. Hier fühlt man sich einfach wohl. Sollten wir wieder mal nach Sri Lanka kommen, wollen wir auf jeden Fall wieder in dieses Hotel, diesmal etwas länger.
