Our first time at the Christima. Great place to stay after a long journey. Central to everything you need. Chams and staff were very helpful and arranged our trip to the lagoon. The room were very clean. Great value for money. Will recommend this hotel to our friends and family when looking for a place to stay in Negombo.

Ruime kamer, en als je de kamer boekt met een bank/zitje, dan heb je er een ruime keuken en wasmachine bij, die je deelt met een andere kamer. Goede airco, late checkout mogelijk tegen betaling. Zwembad is fijn bij deze temperaturen. Op loopafstand van strand en (vooral westerse) restaurants We hadden niet echt een klik met de eigenaar. Die houdt het vrij zakelijk, waar we bij andere verblijven in Sri Lanka meer oprechte interesse zagen. Hij staat ook meer boven zijn personeel dan ernaast.

I travelled with my husband from Uk to meet his son who lives in New Zealand in Sri Lanka as a half way point. We had a two bedroom apartment for 8 days, which was very spacious and clean. Both rooms had mosquito nets over the bed and very efficient air- conditioning in the entire apartment. There was a very large en-suite bathroom to each room. It had everything you would need for a self catering holiday ,although we ate out . Chams and all his staff were very welcoming and helpful. We were able to arrange some amazing day trips through Chams. As our time in Sri Lanka was relatively short, one of the drivers, Dylan took us to places like Pinnwala elephant orphanage,Kandy on one day and Dambulla and Sigiriya a second day for a reasonable fee and stayed with us all day. This is an alternative to catching the train or bus. There was breakfast every morning of fresh fruit, tea , coffee, egg and sausage, toast and marmalade etc; The pool was very clean and we often had it to ourselves. Christima Residence is very close to many restaurants, bars and shops. Tuk, tuks are plentiful and easy to catch and are an ideal way to go a little further out. I would highly recommend Christima Residence as a place to stay, either for a few days as a stopover for touring the island or longer.

Wir waren hier als Familie mit zwei kleinen Kindern und haben uns in dem familiengeführten Guesthouse sehr wohlgefühlt. Frühstück war einfach aber gut. Der Inhaber hat uns einen Fahrer für die Weiterreise vermittelt und war auch sonst sehr hilfsbereit.

A great cozy place to spend a quiet holiday in Negombo, near to the beach, nearby restaurants, convenient stores and most importantly the home atmosphere and the friendly staff at Christima Residence. Chamara and his team ensures that the comfort and the service he provides is at its best at all times. It has a beauftully maintained garden, a great mid sized pool, tasty food and refreshing juices to offer. It has great options for rooms and 2 bedroom apartments. I would recommend this place to everyone who is looking for comfort, cleanliness, worth for your money and friendly service with a smile. Thanks to Chamara for making our stay a memorable one.

I stayed at Christima Residence for 9 days and really enjoyed my time there. The pool and garden area is super nice to chill out and the rooms are clean and have everything you need. The owner, Charmara, is really helpful and always available if you have any questions and the ladies that work there are lovely too! If you’re in need of a good feed; I definitely recommend a short walk down the road to Paloma Restaurant. Thanks Charms, will see you again soon 😊
