四萬溫泉柏屋旅館(Shima Onsen Kashiwaya Ryokan)

We visited Kashiwaya Onsen with our son and his girlfriend, who had both visited before and highly recommended it. It did not disappoint. The bus ride up the mountain from Nanajoko Station hinted at how special this area is. Upon arrival, steps from the bus stop, we were greeted warmly by staff, explained ryokan etiquette, and showed to our rooms. Our private onsen overlooked the river. We also tried one of the reservable onsens on the property. Wonderful! We had an amazing traditional dinner and breakfast. Food was excellent; our server was friendly and explained about all the dishes we were eating. From start to bubbly finish, everything was excellent! If you want an authentic Japanese hotel stay, come here!

My second time in Kashiwaya Ryokan and again most marvellous onsen trip! Staff is super friendly, speaks English and also let you to try to speak Japanese with patience. Room was clean and beautiful, beds really comfortable. Private onsens again were clean and super beautiful! Dinner and breakfast were delicious, thank you for the head chef Akira Karasawa! If you ever plan an onsen trip, I fully recommend Shima Onsen Kashiwaya Ryokan!

100% recommend. Staff was super polite, helpful and friendly. The food was the best I have ever eaten. First time sleeping on futons didnt know what to expect but they were super comfy. Private onsens were really beautiful, the whole experience was highlight of our Japan trip. Definitely will go back ( maybe for our honeymoon as we got engaged there 😉 )

Kashiwaya Ryokan was the first place I booked when planning my trip to Japan. I searched for a ryokan that had 1. vegan meal service, 2. a private ensuite onsen, and 3. was tattoo friendly. Kashiwaya hit all three and when I showed up exceeded any expectations I could have had. They were already quite high! The location is beautiful and my stay here will be one of my most memorable from my time in Japan.

工作人員非常友善，非常照顧我們。當我們到達時，有人用英語向我們解釋了日式旅館的運作方式（私人溫泉、周圍的餐廳、傳統服飾...），對此我們表示讚賞。另外，我們訂了外賣，但已經超出了時間，但工作人員還是設法把外賣送到了我們的手裡（那天下雨了）。環境宏偉而令人放鬆。唯一的缺點是步行去餐廳和商店有點遠（即使有當地巴士，但班次並不多）。私人班車系統將是一個優勢。感謝整個島溫泉柏屋團隊的歡迎。我們會回來的。

Staying here was a highlight of our trip to Japan. The traditional Japanese inn should not be missed and Kashiwaya Ryokan is the perfect place to experience it. The on-site onsen were all very clean and provided a relaxing atmosphere. The meals were impeccable and the staff was helpful and friendly. We will definitely visit again!

這次是和年邁的父母一起出遊，不想去觀光，而是想在客棧放鬆一下，所以就決定用它。飯店採用現代日式內飾，客房舒適，散發著舒緩的薰香氣味。上州牛肉的菜餚非常美味，而且準備得很好。 Kenchin烏龍麵湯已經熱了。我很喜歡大浴場和私人浴場。不是住宿的錯，只是走廊和樓梯有小孩跑來跑去，腳步聲很吵💦家長不說話，希望他們能多注意一下周圍的環境。
