Stayed here whilst visiting some friends in Wales. The pub is very oldy worldy with old furniture and quirky decor. Outside there is a beautiful large beer garden with picnic benches over looking a river below. They have their own chickens and use the fresh eggs for breakfasts. I had breakfast one morning included in room price and was not disappointed. Smoked salmon poched eggs and a whole rack of toast with jam, marmalade, butter and Marmite options. Fresh juice and coffee etc. I didn't need to eat until supper. Evening meal was good, I wouldn't say excellent. Steak and chip dinner just average but good enough for the price. Everyone was very friendly and chatty at the bar it had a very welcoming feel. The room was as expected traditional style. The bedding was so comfortable I felt like I was sleeping on a cloud. I did have an issue with the lock of the door being a bit fiddly and there wasn't a light in the hallway as such after a few red wines in my friends campervan outside I struggled to get in ha ! Overall a lovely place I would definitely visit again and recommend to friends. Ps. Try the Entrecote red wine it's lovely !
