Klein hotel met een fantastisch eigenaar-echtpaar die met veel liefde de gasten in de watten leggen. Op een klein eilandje in de rivier Krka waar zelfs in wordt gezwommen. Eigenaar heeft goede tips om bezienswaardigheden in de buurt te bezoeken. Hij weet bovendien veel van de lekkerste wijnen die in de buurt worden gemaakt. En blijf je wat langer, krijg je af en toe een heerlijk glas wijn om te proeven. Maar ook het hotel zelf is de moeite waard: 9 kamers die stuk voor stuk prachtig zijn ingericht. Het ontbijt kun je gebruiken in de zaal, maar ook in de kleine tuin achter het hotel. Ontbijt is vers en met lokale producten. Wat geweldig dat we hier een paar dagen mochten verblijven. Eigenaren spreken goed Engels. Honden zijn welkom. Enig minpunt dat we konden ontdekken was de zwakke wifi in de kamers.

The location of the hotel is truly something out of a fairytale - nestled on the enchanting river island Kostanjevica in the breathtaking Dolenjska region. Housed in an old farmhouse, the preservation and renovation of the property have created an atmosphere of luxury while retaining its authentic charm. The rooms are a haven of comfort, offering everything one could need during their stay. We especially adore the two rooms with private balconies, providing stunning views of the surroundings. It's a perfect spot to relax and enjoy the tranquility of the island. Now, let me rave about the highlight of our stay - breakfast! Andrej personally curates every item, and it's evident that a lot of thought and care go into its preparation. The breakfast is not just a meal; it's an experience! Andrej's dedication to serving only the best shines through in every bite. And that's not all; evenings at the hotel are a delightful affair thanks to Andrej and Nina. Andrej's knowledge of Slovenian wines is remarkable, and he enthusiastically introduces guests to a variety of delectable options. The homemade cold cuts are simply divine and pair perfectly with the wines. Every time we have the opportunity to reserve a stay at this wonderful establishment, we do so without hesitation. The overall experience, the warm hospitality of the owners, and the unforgettable meals make each visit a cherished memory. If you find yourself in the neighborhood or plan to visit Dolenjska, I cannot recommend Hotel highly enough.
