Another Aweseome stay at the Aparthotel Adagio Munich. Loved just everything here. Have been here before. Stayed with the family for three nights before our vacation flight to explore the city. Staff is wonderfull, especially with kids. Everyone was so welcoming. Room was nice and tidy, spacious and equipped with everything you needed. We could even prepare small dishes for our Baby Boy. We will definitely be back soon.
The hotel has all that you need for comfort as a tourist. You are only a block away from the Munich Hbf so walking to the hotel with luggage was no problem. Proximity to the train station was essential for me since I used Munich as base while taking several train trips. The front desk staff is helpful and made it easy for someone who speaks very poor German. The rooms are sizeable by European standards and very comfortable. Fitness center was acceptable. You are about 4-5 long city blocks away from getting to Neuhauser Street and main shopping district (about another 3 blocks to Marienplatz) so if you mind the walking then maybe not the place for you, but I had no problem with it. Several restaurants within close walking distance (albeit not fine dining) and an Aldi's next door. One one hand nice to see a very diverse area in the immediate neighborhood, but also some sketch figures, but encountered no real problems (albeit a few odd visuals that I will not share). The breakfast was very good and I generally at eenough that lunch was not even a need or a consideration. Overall, well worth it.
If you are looking for a place with a similar price range and location, I highly recommend Aloft over Mercure. Location: close to Munich central station, but you can hear people screaming and yelling at night. Be careful walking on the street late. Staff: front desk staffs are not very welcoming but the attitude was acceptable. Other staffs are friendly. The two hotlines of the 24-hour manager and front desk never worked during my stay; no one answered on either line. Room: you can feel it's old. Although the room is in great condition, you can still feel its ”oldness.” The shower room has only half door, which is a weird design because you can splash water everywhere after showering and make a mess. The air conditioner and heater did not work. I tried to call the staff to help, but no one answered. And due to the malfunction of the air conditioner, the air was not circulated and felt very stuffy. The old room smell was getting stronger since there was no air conditioning.
We had a fabulous time visiting this I believe newly opened hotel! As the lounge is only opening later this month we have received alternative offerings in the bar which were delicious. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. Looking forward to come back once the lounge has opened!
The place is nice as a family, has 2 rooms and a kitchen. But the sofa is basically unusable as it's so uncomfortable. The beds are way too soft and the mattress topper keeps sliding down and you have a lot less bed. Pillows are also very flimsy. Kitchen is ok. ”Sharp” knife and scissors don't cut. Washing machine but no place to hang clothes. NO HOOKS IN THE BATHROOMS. All your towels will stay crumbled somewhere. So much room for improvement and it wouldn't even cost that much.
訪訪客Hotel is located a bit away from marienplatz and the downtown shopping area . It isn”t a problem because public transportation is at your front door . taxis and the train station are near by . The hotel staff were friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived . Pia and Jan in the restaurant took excellent care of us at dinner ,food was tasty and nicely presented . The breakfast buffet was fresh and tasty with a good selection to get your day started . Our room was clean , well maintained and quiet . Would definety stay again if we return to Munich . Thanks for a great stay !
It helps that I got a good deal for my stay, with breakfast included (can be skipped if too expensive). For me the highlight was the room and extremely early check in provided by the hotel. The room was very large (by Europe 4 * standards), airy and bright. 2 single beds joined together are a bit off a let down. Complimentary mini bar great, coffee maker great, shower cubicle in middle of the room very eclectic, staff friendly, restaurant breakfast service standards a bit lazy but improved when pointed out. Location brilliant, stones throw from Karlplatz, trams and U bahn What's not to like... Oh... Also I had a corner room so maybe I really got lucky
訪訪客A Hilton Hotel is a bit more expensive than a youth hostel, but their service is very similar. 1 Lady is responsible for the reception, the bar and the offer of snacks. The list is about 10 positions, NONE of it is available. Chips (40g for 2€) or a MARS choko. In the room there is not a single glas, if you come to the crazy idea to drink a sip of water, you can‘t. The lady on reception/bar does not speak german, we are in Munich 😟. The normal Wifi can only be accessed if you become a member of the Hilton club. Otherwise you can get one for „ checking your e-mails“. TV is in hotel mode , no TXT available, and no info what you are watching.
