Amazing experience. The service and attention to detail live up to the St. Regis brand and reputation. It was crowded but staff remember your name and go out of their way to make every detail of your stay memorable. Abihijit at the Seven Fires restaurant took excellent care of us and was a pleasure to chat with. Chef Taj at Sahib prepared an incredible off the menu meal for us. We used their cars for 2 days and was worth every penny. Having the comfort of their drivers and car to ***euver through this city is priceless. They know the best street food areas, shopping and sights. Trying to do this on our own would have been a *** endeavor. The only peculiarity of this property is the propensity of guests to have breakfast in their pajamas while donning hotel slippers. The the Spa is next level. We did a couples package and it was a welcome experience after a week on the road. Possibly best spa experience we have had and again, incredible service and facility. The value of this hotel is almost laughable given the price. A similar experience in Europe or the States and you are going to pay 4-5x the price. This was a stay we will relish for a longtime. The bar has been set very high by this outstanding property.
I was in the Room Number 2909. The Workers all were very friendly, especially Vivek. He is such a cool guy and we talked a lot. But as I wrote, all workers were very friendly and courteous. The food always was very tasty, the rooms are very comfortable and you can sleep very well on the bed. The Hotel itself has a upscale facility and it was always very clean. Was a pleasure for me to be here. Gladly again Fabi
We have always wanted to stay at the Taj Palace near gate of india for Diwali and we were not not disappointed. The staff were attentive, pleasant and alway accommodating.
We booked a King One Bedroom Suite with Sea View - Smoking. But during check-in we found out that we were getting a non-smoking room. Not a deal breaker but it would be good for the hotel to keep the room sold out if they cannot offer what is stated. To co****sate they did upgrade us to the 2nd largest room in the hotel with both the sea and city view, which was nice.
The hotel room was beautiful and spacious, in general was clean, but the cups and glasses in the room were not clean at all, the same for the breakfast area.
The staff was nice and accommodating, room service was fast and they took great care of their guest when it came to serving breakfast.
The location of the hotel is one of the best in Mumbai, and the view is gorgeous - the queens necklace.
100% recommend :)
Although the service is amazing and the staff is really friendly, both the hotel rooms I were in and the other premises (gym, salon etc) were too musty. I had to take antiallergics to be able to ***age my stay at the hotel and after returning back home, I had to start antibiotics. So if you are allergic or too sensitive to must like me, I don’t recommend this hotel at all.
