This was my second time with Gostops and again it was an awful experience. First time in old Manali and then in Nainital as well. Staff was extremely rude and co-traveller were talking on phone all night with smoking in rooms and washroom which was extremely bad. Plus no cleanliness maintained and the cleaning staff wipe the bathroom floor using bedsheet while changing it. There are so many things which made my experience really bad. Please don't go as a solo female traveller.

Their customer service is absolutely pathetic. Will not refund any bookings even in case of emergencies like someone passing away. They will happily cancel the booking and give it to someone else while minting money from you also. Be ware no autorickshaw goes till this location. Only taxi or cab will go and the price will be 4 times the regular fare. They lie about Mumbai Airport being near. It is 25 kms away! Very disappointing service!

Disgusting location, very noisy due to the docks nearby. Very dirty room, dust and dirt everywhere. The bathroom has a very dirty sink, a constant queue for the shower. The staff is not friendly, hard to get help, 5 hours looking for an iron... We traveled as a family with a small child of 2 years old, we could not cook food in the kitchen, as there are a lot of people and it is impossible to get to the stove or microwave. The kitchen is full of cockroaches. Amazing place, not recommended for family holidays, and I wouldn't go there alone.

The worst hostel I have ever been to. No hospitality, no cleanliness, no courtesy, no infrastructure and no management. I have been to other gostops, zostels, moustache and hosteller's hostels but this was just PATHETIC. The checkin experience was bad, the new receptionist was polite but the other one was rude and I believe he was the senior one. The dorms we smelling bad, no proper lighting was there. Even one of the ACs were not working. Even though we checked in 7-8 after the checkin time, the bunks weren't ready. And they also alloted pre-occupied bunks to us and then we had to go back and forth to get different bunks assigned. There were no bedsheets on the bunks and when asked to the attendant he said we had to bring our own or they can provide the linens but we have to tuck it on our own. I know this is a hostel and we don't expect a 5* treatment but still a clean bed with fresh linens is minimum to expect. The rooftop was shady and didn't have any infrastructure created there just a few chairs and a table with minimum lighting. Comming to the common room, they have rooms attached to the common room and don't allow anyone in the common room after 10-11 PM. We were sitting there after 11 and some staf person came and turned all the lights off and the AC as well. We were about to checkout in the first 10 minutes of arrival as it was soo bad but the only thing that made us stay for a single night were the nice people that were staying there. They charge you same as a Zostel Property but with almost no facilities as a Zostel Property. Would never ever recommend staying at goStops Mumbai. It was not a good experience staying at gostops masjid Bandar mumbai. The hygiene was not at all satisfactory, washrooms were not clean and even basic facilities in washroom was not available like towel holder, and even a tap. It was very difficult staying there. Please look into this matter.
