I was very disappointed with the stay at Mumbai. We arrived at 1 p.m after a long flight overnight and the check-in process was very smooth. But the room was a bit dirty and then the problems started with hot water. A plumber arrived checked, fiddled and went. 2nd person came tested fiddled, made the bathroom all wet, left it like that and said it's fixed madam. Which I knew was not so I tested before jumping in the shower. Complained, to reception twice. By now it's 4 p.m. We have not eaten anything till then. Then we're told we are changing your room. Nothing happened and speaking to ***agers he said it be another 45 minutes as the hot water tank is empty as someone left a tap running. Will send hot water in a BUCKET so he did and i had a wash . This has to be the biggest joke of the century. But I gave them time, 5 p.m still no hot water. So asked for a refund and said are vacating the room. At which point the ***agers said OK let me see and will change room. So he showed me another room and said look water is hot now. So I said let me show you it's not in my room. So the whole party of 4 came to my room and tested, no hot water. Finally accepted issue in my room not tank. By now it's 6 p.m so 5 hrs after arrival he changed room which he could have done at 2 p.m. I have always stayed at Ambassador when visiting Mumbai but not anymore. I didn't prepay a high rate to have a wash in a bucket, which I can do in a cheap guest house . Lost a valued customer due to not understanding customer issues and requirements but most of all lying.
