This place had me seriously doubting *********'s ratings as this was listed as "superb 9.2" - definitely NOT. Grossly overpriced! No place to hang clothes or even to put suitcases. Road/traffic noise. If you don't wash your dishes (by hand in the bathroom sink) prior to leaving the charge is $20! The toilet paper holder was falling off the wall and was held on with black duct tape. I pulled out the hairdryer and some dead earwigs along with it. The baseboards looked like they were last cleaned in 2010. No shelves or any area at all in the bathroom to store any toiletries. No place to hang clothes or even open a suitcase, except the bed. Luggage stand desperately needed. Good points: Keurig coffee pods and pot, refrigerator (tiny), nice outdoor area.

We loved our cottage! We are on an extended vacation, Bar Harbor was one of our stops. Hanscom’s was just what we needed. Just perfect!

The cottage is very cute and cozy and easy to find. Close to downtown Bar Harbor. Nice self check in process.
Only concerns: bathroom fan is very loud and disconcerting. Bathroom did not have a window covering and there are neighbors outside that window. Our solution was to steam up the mirrors in order to fog up the window!

This property was super adorable and cozy. It feels like your in the middle of the forest with campfires for the guests to enjoy. You're close to the water and Acadia National Park. Unfortunately, we had to cut our stay short 1 day cause of Hurricane Lee and the hotel was super understanding and were willing to give us a refund the night we had to leave.

This was a lovely property. Rooms were updated and very clean. Grounds were stellar - fire pits, grills, fairy lights in evening. Exceeded expectations!
