"We had a wonderful stay at Lakeside Inn in Mount Dora. The property is full of charm, history, and character, and the setting right on the lake makes it feel truly special. The atmosphere is peaceful and relaxing, and it was easy to appreciate the timeless appeal of this historic inn. The staff was welcoming, the grounds were beautiful, and the overall experience felt both comfortable and memorable. It was the perfect place to slow down, enjoy Mount Dora, and take in the unique personality of the property. "We love coming to the Adora Inn! We've been here 7 times and it is always lovely. We stay in the Olive Room - it has a king bed and nice, comfortable chair along with room to move around. John and Arthur are great hosts and amazing cooks! The breakfasts are creative and so flavorful. My favorite is the Croissant French Toast with Chicken Sausage along with a bowl of fresh fruit, yogurt, and granola. The atmosphere is upscale, but comfortable and so close to the activity in downtown Mount Dora. We'll be back again next year!"

"We had a wonderful time at Heron Cay. Marge and her staff were fantastic. The homemade breakfasts were great. Their recommendations of things to do and places to eat were outstanding. I would highly recommend staying at Heron Cay on your next visit to Mt. Dora."

"First, I ordered a non-smoking room and you scheduled me for a smoking room. When I got to the facility, there was trash everywhere. They moved us to a supposed non-smoking room ut when we entered, the entire place smelled of cigarette smoke. Additional trash on the stairs and grounds where we had to park. We left immediately and searched for another hotel. I would like a refund for this stay."

"We were visiting friends in the Mt Dora area and they told us to try this historic beauty. The building was lovely. Staff was welcoming and efficient. The room was fine for an old structure with beautiful decor. Unfortunately, the floor in our room along with the bed and even the sink faucets were squeaky which got annoying. I guess old allows squeaky but it got annoying. We did not try the restaurant because we were visiting our friends but it looked lovely and you could dine indoors or on their front porch with a view of Lake Dora. We would stay here again on a future visit. Only reason for my 4 rating was the squeaks but probably no way around that on a wood structure this old,"

"Located a short walk to the four square block shopping district, this B&B is a pleasant place to stay. The hosts, John & Arthur, were welcoming and made us feel at home. There is gated, off-street parking. The bed was very soft and low to the ground. However, the delicious breakfast was absolutely worth the stay."

"Wonderful location within walking distance of Mt. Dora, but driving is probably a little safer. Charming victorian-style decor. Originally built as a B&B rather than a house converted. That is important when it comes water pressure for showers, toilets, etc. B&B has guest rooms on the second and third floors. Proprietress and her daughter run the place and both reside on site. They are very friendly and welcoming and work hard to ensure guests are comfortable. Nice pool area. Rooms are also Victorian decor and comfortable and very clean. We had breakfast two mornings; both days were fresh fruit with a homemade nut bread, a form of eggs and a protein. All were tasty. They were able to provide info about the Mt. Dora area and things to do during our short stay. Beautiful gardens."
