"I’ve just had a great four nights at Forest Eco Lodge in Mount Abu with Mala and her team. The lodge is at the end of a track winding into the hills outside the small town of Mount Abu. It’s the most wonderfully peaceful place to hangout, relax and calm down after the hectic cities of Rajasthan. Mount Abu seems to be rather overlooked by tourists in the typical Rajasthan trip of cities and desert safaris - but it’s well worth taking a few days out of city exploration. Forest Eco Lodge is also a great place to base yourself for a few days of hiking in these beautiful mountains. And there’s nothing better after a day hiking (with great guides who Mala can put you in touch with) to come back to a hot shower, friendly faces, a small beer and some great home cooked food. Delicious Indian breakfasts as well with copious amounts of masala chai."

"I don't know if this review will remain there or not. But here you go. Reviews appear to be manipulated. I have been there and from check in till check out was like hell. When we went there at 12:30 room was not cleaned. When checked the room after cleaning (@ 1:30) the lights on were not functioning correctly, mirror, linen were dirty. The smell in the room was so pathetic we felt like living it but decided against it as other hotels were full and we only had to sleep at night but that was our mistake. When we came at night after sight seeing, we slept as were exhausted, at night we were welcomed by the host of that room. Mice were staying there and we were the guest. That is not all, we had to call and visit multiple times for hot water it took us more than 3 hours to get it fixed. Nothing special about the location If you want to get disappointed, please be their guest."
