Our visit to Ameg Lodge was extremely disappointing. After swimming, my hair turned completely green due to excessive chlorine—something that has never happened before. When we politely asked for a refund (just $10), the staff was kind and willing to help, but the owner stepped in and was incredibly rude. He refused to take responsibility, blamed us for choosing to swim, and even wanted pictures of us to ban us from returning. To make matters worse, he started yelling at his own employees for not taking pictures of our IDs upon arrival—something we’ve never experienced at a pool before. His behavior was unprofessional, uncomfortable, and completely unnecessary. Avoid this place—especially because of the owner.

Auf unserer Familien Safari Tour durch Tanzania war dies unser erster Stop. Die absolut richtige Entscheidung um nach der langen Anreise Kraft zu tanken. Gute Zimmer, toller Pool, gutes Essen, sehr freundliche Mitarbeiter, toller Blick auf den Kilimanjaro!

Wir waren für zwei Übernachtungen in der Ameg Lodge um einen Ganztagesauflug in den Kili-Nationalpark zu unternehmen (Materuni-Wasserfall). Der Empfang war zunächst etwas sachlich, hat sich aber am zweiten Abend dann doch als sehr hilfreich erwiesen, als es darum ging, unsere stark verschmutze Safari-Kleidung nach dem Materuni-Ausflug kurzfristig reinigen zu lassen. Wir hatten Halbpension gebucht und konnten zum Abendessen ein beliebiges Menü aus der Karte zusammenstellen. Getränkepreise sehr moderat, Personal im Bereich von Bar und Restaurant sehr freundlich. Die Auswahl beim Frühstücksbuffet war eher übersichtlich (was wohl auch an der geringen Belegung lag), man konnte jedoch ein individuelles Eiergerichte hinzubestellen. WLAN im Bereich unseres Zimmers sehr schwach bis gar nicht verfügbar, im Bereich der Bar gut und schnell. Leider hatten wir in der ersten Nacht ein unerfreuliches "Erlebnis" im Badezimmer, weshalb wir in der Folgenacht lieber das Licht angelassen hatten...

One of the horrible restaurant in Moshi. Food test very bad. Poor service from the staff especially the manager, I’m sure the manager doesn’t have education, I don’t know why they give job to unprofessional people! I will never recommend anyone to eat there again.

Stayed at AMEG overnight as a little R+R. It was a lovely relaxed stay. Rooms are lovely, air con, clean, and cozy. Swimming pool- which the water is a good temperature. The food is lovely!!! And reasonable in price. The staff are attentive and friendly. I will not hesitate to visit AMEG again when I return to Moshi.

The hotel is nice. Food and pool are good. Restaurant staff is amazing. However the manager is very rude and due to this I will go elsewhere from now on. Not willling to be hassled by a manager with no customer service skills

Wonderful hotel in quiet setting. The room was very comfortable and clean. The food served at restaurant is great standard and everything was tasty. Staff pay attention to small details and care about customers a lot.

Arrived after dark and were greeted by a wonderful staff who made us comfortable after two long days of travel. Room was small and somewhat outdated, but the bathroom as upgraded. After a wonderful nights sleep we were surprised to see the wonderful grounds with the many beautiful flowers. Has a filling buffet breakfast before packing to continue our trip
