Auberge du Plateau - 青年旅舍

Nice hostel facilities and breakfast. HOWEVER There is one employee who will make your life miserable. Here was my experience. He came into the room at 00:45 and made a bunch of noise. In and out of his locker, not even trying to be quiet. Dragging stuff around, etc. Didn't matter to me, it's a hostel, plus I was watching TV very quietly. After his five or so minutes of banging around, he asked me to turn the volume down. I literally clicked the volume down then up, and asked if it was okay and he said yes. Ha! The street noise was more than my movie, for reference. What he did next was even more upsetting. He proceeded to wake up an older gentleman, and ask him to turn off his nightlight... the extremely dim nightlight that I'm sure the hostel chose so that they could be left on and not bother people, yet safely go to the bathroom in the middle of the night. The crazy part is I saw in his pile of stuff both earplugs and a sleep mask. He was also bottom bunk, so could have made a sheet curtain like I had done with my comforter. Why did he do these things? Solely as a power grab I believe. He also told me he liked to sleep in until 9, breakfast starts at 8 and is when my alarm went off. Right on! He did change rooms, but continued to enter ours to retrieve items from his locker and the closet. Often neglecting to close the door on his way out. He's a bully, I have spoken to others here who have had the same experience. The other staff are all wonderful, helpful people. Solely because of him, I would recommend staying elsewhere.

L'Auberge est vraiment agréable. Son personnel est accueillant, amical et toujours disponible pour aider. L'endroit est paisible, propre et bien tenu. Lorsque j'y vais, je dors bien, je mange bien au déjeuner (qui est inclus) et je travaille avec mon ordi dans la salle à manger sans me faire déranger. Y aller une première fois donne le goût d'y retourner plusieurs fois.

Si tratta di un piccolo alberghetto in centro a Montreal. La descrizione è un po’ ingannevole perché la struttura è di modesta fattura e di mediocre qualità. Si tratta di fatto di un ostello per la gioventù con camere con bagni in comune. La nostra era una piccola camera con bagno privato.ciò nonostante il servizio è amichevole e simpatico ma complessivamente la qualità non è all’altezza della graduatoria. Positivo il fatto della posizione assolutamente bellissima.

Le personnel était exceptionnellement amical et serviable, la propreté des chambres était impeccable, et la nourriture était délicieuse. Nous avons séjourné plusieurs nuits dans ce gîte en chambre individuelle. Le gîte est bien situé près de la gare centrale d’autocars et du métro. Plusieurs quartiers sont accessibles à pied. Les chambres individuelles sont petites mais correctes. Comme le bâtiment est ancien, il n’est pas t’es bien insonorisé ce qui peut être gênant si on a le sommeil léger ! La salle commune est très agréable et l’équipe est chouette (mention spéciale pour Jimmy dont la bonne humeur irradie les petits déjeuners😏). Le petit déjeuner est offert avec jus, toasts, pancakes, œufs, thé, café,…

La personne qui m'a servi en arrivant était juste nulle, aucune respect... Ce n'était pas ma première fois dans cet établissement, ça a toujours été. Mais cette fois-ci c'était la dernière.

J'ai passé un excellent séjour. L'auberge est très bien placée (proche du centre, des bus et du métro) et le personnel est très gentil et de bon conseil. La chambre est grande et calme. Le petit déjeuner est varié et très bon. Merci encore pour votre accueil.

The room looked nothing like the photos. The bed was a futon. The remote control did not seem to affect the heat, and it was an unusually cold night. Staff was wonderful. It was a lovely hostel ...but it is not a hotel.
