蒙特貝爾德布爾比湖旅館(Burbi Lake Lodge Monteverde)

Hôtel au milieu des nuages de la forêt brumeuse de la région de Monteverde. Hôtel très confortable chambre spacieuse avec des grandes baies vitrées pour admirer la nature. La température y est beaucoup plus fraîche. L’accueil et le personnel très agréable et très attentionné. Le petit déjeuner parfait et vous avez même thé café gâteaux à disposition pour vos retours après vos balades dans cette forêt unique. Nous avons même fait une balade de nuit c’etait super mais de jour comme de nuit nous n’avons pas vu le Quetzal… merci au responsable de l’hôtel où nous avons passé un très bon séjour

Me encantó, es un hotel hermoso y tranquilo, rodeado de un lago y el bosque. Tiene sus propios senderos y en la mañana te despierta el sonido de los pájaros. El personal es lo más amable, tenía un problema de movilidad y siempre me ayudaron y me dieron una habitación cercana.

I’m sure this is a beautiful place with nice rooms, but unfortunately we were turned away at reception despite our paid reservation, due to my wife’s service animal. The reception was highly insensitive and disrespectful about the situation given it was close to sunset (it is a bit further removed from Santa Elena on a mostly unpaved road so took longer than expected), and we would have to find another hotel in the high season. The focus of the hotel was on their pet policy, with no understanding or respect for the fact it was a trained service animal. Our suggestions such as a deposit were not accepted and we felt very badly treated generally, as they let us wait while they were “considering” but after 30 minutes (and other guests helped) we received the same answer. We left as this had a highly stressful impact, and even after everything this episode would have been acceptable if it wasn’t for the fact that this hotel does not want to give us back our payment, while we didn’t spend the night. No respect, no decency and a very humiliating experience that I do not wish to anyone. As I just received an email from the hotel to “share my experience after my stay with them” I am duly obliging.

Wonderful place with very modern rooms and a spectacular view. Very helpful hosts and fantastic breakfast; especially the Burbi eggs. We really enjoyed the hanging bridges and the zip lining. The lodge is approximately 5 km away from the town. The roads are a real challenge. ;-)

Es un lindo hotel. Las habitaciones limpias y comodas, adaptadas para personas con sillas de ruedas. Los desayunos son variados y estilo buffet, entonces som abundantes. Tiene un lindo lago y senderos que llevan a un mirador. El único aspecto a considerar es que no ofrecen servicio de almuerzo y cena, entonces se debe ir al centro de Santa Elena o algún otro restaurante, pero todos quedan a mínimo a 20 minutos en calle lastreada. Igual en la habitación hay una minirefrigeradora y en el espacio común del hotel, donde se desayuna, tienen utensilios y está equipado para calentar en Microondas, tostador de Pan, etc, y café y te siempre.

Excellent attention from the staff, the receptionist was very very nice, very welcoming. The breakfast and the chef were incredible. The views and the room were perfect, very well equipped, very comfortable, best sleep ever. The trail inside the property and the lake were BEAUTIFUL. This experience was simply amazing and we will be back very soon for sure. Thanks so much for the excellent service. Las vistas y la habitación estaban increíbles, muy bien equipado, muy cómodo, dormimos mejor que nunca. El sendero dentro de la propiedad y el lago fueron PRECIOSOS. Los patitos muy bellos y en general el ambiente perfecto en Monteverde. Una experiencia asombrosa como nacionales, disfrutamos mucho conocer nuestro país y Monteverde que es precioso, y personas como el staff y lugares como estos hacen una experiencia inigualable. Volveremos muy pronto. Muchísimas gracias por el excelente servicio y experiencia.

My husband and I had a perfect stay at Burbi Lake Lodge. We only had two nights but will definitely be back due to the experience. The location is excellent. It is a short 15-20 minute drive to town. The town is nice to visit but the Monteverde cloud forest experience deserves this remote and beautiful location. The grounds are gorgeous; we saw unique birds and butterflies that we saw nowhere else during our hikes in the reserves. There is a great trail with a view of Volcan Arenal at the top. The rooms are impeccably clean and everything is brand new. There is a safe and a hair dryer. Our room had a balcony with an incredible view of the lake and surroundings. There is a delicious cook-to-order breakfast each morning that is included with your stay and a common area for your group to gather. The service was exceptional, every single person of the staff. They personalize your experience and you feel like family when you leave. Emil was a pleasure to meet and was extremely knowledgable about the area's history, wildlife, and plants. He gave recommendations and made reservations for us, which made our adventures an ease upon arrival at the locations. Stay here, you won't regret it. 10/10 recommend!

Die Lodge bietet sehr saubere und ruhige Bungalows in einer pittoresken, gepflekten Gartenanlage. Ein kleiner Wanderpfad durch den Nebelwald auf dem Gelände der Lodge ist vorhanden. Jedes Zimmer hat einen fast schon kitschigen Blick auf einen Weiher mit Tretboten. Alles ist ökologisch nachhaltig organisiert, das warme Wasser wird von der Sonne erwärmt. Der Service ist sehr persönlich und zuvorkommend. Das Frühstück wird sehr frisch von lokalen Mitarbeitern zubereitet und ist mit regionalen Zutaten ebenso nachhaltig. Leider wird kein Mittag und Abendessen angeboten. Dafür gibt es den ganzen Tag über leckeres, selbst gemachtes Bananenbrot sowie Heißgetränke kostenlos. Für das Abendessen gibt es die Möglichkeit einen Lieferservice durch die Gastronomie der Umgebung zu nutzen. Für Getränke gibt es einen Kühlschrank zur Selbstbedienung, man zahlt einfach an der Rezeption. Diese hilft auch, Unternehmungen in der Umgebung zu planen und zu buchen und gibt Tipps z.B. zum Thema Autofahren bei Nacht (wir haben eine Nachtwanderung gebucht). Im Frühstücksraum stehen den ganzen Tag über Brettspiele und Bücher bereit. Insgesamt fühlten wir uns sehr gut aufgehoben und betreut.

Solo llegar al lugar ya todo es maravilloso, el recibimiento, las instalaciones, el personal, en fin todo, un lugar de paz rodeado de naturaleza, habitaciones sumamente cómodas, vista al lago espectacular, cuenta con un sendero excelente, y el desayuno exquisito. El trato recibido por parte del personal es el mejor, se esmeran en que uno se sienta como en familia, todos, y digo todos hacen que sea una experiencia inolvidable, volvería siempre a visitarlos. Super recomendado. Si hubiera que poner una nota sin dudarlo seria 100. No puedo poner ningun comentario malo ni regular, porque todo fue bueno. Gracias Burbi Lake por la experiencia, nos volveremos a ver.
