Me parece que a proposta do hotel é proporcionar uma experiência vivendo em uma casa antiga típica italiana do século passado. Eles só precisam avisar isso aos hóspedes antes, para que estejam cientes de onde irão se hospedar. Além disso, a hospedagem não é um hotel, é uma apartamento de temporada e as fotos enganam muito. A responsável pelo hotel entrou em contato no dia do check-in às 4pm para dar uma série de instruções sobre a chegada ao estabelecimento: um vídeo explicando aonde estacionar e como chegar ao local. O estacionamento fica a uns 400m do apartamento com escadas e ladeiras até chegar. É um prédio antigo, não possui recepção ou alguém para te atender. A responsável enviou instruções para pegar a chave do quarto. Subimos três lances de escada (não indico para idosos, pessoas com carrinho de bebê ou malas muito grandes). Entramos em um apartamento que parecia mal assombrado. Quartos antigos, quadros medonhos, paredes com tintas lascadas, malas antigas de decoração… tudo horrível! O aquecedor do quarto não funcionava (a cidade estava com temperatura de 9°C). Fechamos a estadia com café da manhã incluído, porém, o café era em uma padaria a 200m do hotel e incluía apenas 1 croissant, 1 café e 1 suco (a cafeteria era ótima, mas o que estava incluído era um café super simples).

La suite rossa e’ molto bella, con una bellissima vista . A disposizione una terrazza sopra la camera con divanetti e tavolo per la bella stagione . La posizione e’ centralissima , lungo il corso , a pochi metri dal caffè poliziano , dove è prevista la colazione . Non c è ascensore ne’ tv , ma è come catapultarsi nel secolo scorso, tutto è rimasto com era .in comunione con le altre due suite un salone e una sala colazioni . La suite è dotata di vasca idromassaggio per una persona .

Per quello che ci si può aspettare da una struttura, questa è una location particolare in un palazzo storico. Ambientazione da inizio anni 900, dove la padrona di casa vuole ricreare la stessa atmosfera. In effetti è come andare nel passato, tutti gli arredamenti degli ambienti ti riportano indietro nel tempo. Bellissimo lo studio in soffitta che ti porta sulla terrazza da cui si gode di una vista strepitosa dei tetti di Montepulciano e delle vallete circostanti...

This place in Montepulciano is amazing and has become an immediate favorite. We stayed in the Rosso Suite-the views of the town, medieval bell tower and Tuscan hills is incredible. Even the bathroom has an amazing view. There is a gorgeous sitting room to enjoy a glass of wine, and a beautiful rooftop (also a great place to have a glass of Montepulciano red.) The host, Natalia, was in constant communication with us via WhatsApp-attending to our every need. It's in a great location in town. We got vouchers for a great breakfast at a nearly cafe. I loved everything about this place and will definitely return.

Stayed for a couple nights in the Rossa Suite. This is lovely guesthouse, with our Suite being on the top floor of the building having stunning view of the countryside and other buildings in Montepulciano. Rossa suite was large with plenty of space. What I really liked was the communication from the owners. The day before I received a whatsapp message asking when we will be arriving and giving us general directions to the hotel. During the stay they would also message you to make sure everything was OK. Other points to note: - Location is about 100m from the bottom of the hill where the main entrance of the old town is. - The hotel is on the top floor, so you need to walk up 3 flights of stairs to reach. The Rossa suite is up another very narrow staircase. We were travelling with 2 large suitcases. It was OK for us but it is worth noting for anyone who may have issues with this. - Our suite did have an aircon unit but didn't seem to be working as the control on the wall did not operate it. When we were staying in June the temp was generally cool, but i imagine it could be an issue in the heat of summer. We did not ask if there is a separate remote control for the aircon unit. - There is a nice rooftop balcony that is available for all guests. Good views and there a chairs if you fancy a late afternoon drink. - Small kitchen area on the main floor. - Breakfast was at a cafe about 100m from the hotel. Its a nice historic cafe. The standard breakfast is just drinks and pastries. Through the hotel we paid an extra 3 euro each to include a hot option that was basically eggs and piece of bacon. - There are plenty of places for lunch in town but they do get busy with large tour groups and day trippers. If you are having dinner we strongly recommend booking in advance as not all places are open in the evening, particularly on Mondays as we found to our peril!

It was snowing heavily in Montepulciano the evening I arrived. The taxi from Chiusi station cost 50 Euros cash. The taxi could not reach the front door but my host sent numerous messages to guide me as I walked the last half kilometer. There is no lift in the building and up four sets of stairs with a heavy bag was an effort! We did a remote check-in. I had the Rossa suite which meant a climb of another set of narrow wooden stairs to the very top floor. This room had a stunning view across the rooftops and valley. That view alone was worth the price paid! The residence did not have any other guests and was very quiet. There are no kitchen facilities but there is a kettle, a microwave oven and small refrigerator in the dining room. All of the furniture (including the bed) probably dates back to mid 20th century. I did not see an electric blanket and I thought it was needed. The air conditioner (heater) in the room seemed to work on a timer and was off for several hours in the daytime. Because it was January, a lot of restaurants nearby were closed for several weeks. I discovered other open restaurants further down the main street on the following nights. Tip: The large door to the residence (3 sets of stairs up) was tricky to open. There are instructions on how to solve this problem posted near the door.
