阿爾賈諾迪摩爾飯店

This was our first time staying at a winery in Italy and we clearly chose the right one! We had an incredible experience and had a wonderful opportunity to unwind and relax. We tried two wine tastings including the paired dinner and paired lunch. Both times, the food and wine were exceptional and some of the best we ultimately had in our two week Italy trip. I'd like to highlight the exceptional and warm service we received from Marta, Gaia and Andurance (Eddie). They made us feel like the winery was our own and that we were hanging out with family and friends. I've posted some pictures on *********** that I think speak for themselves; I haven't shared the best ones as I feel you should really experience the winery with your own eyes.

We arrived well courtesy of the helpful directions (via what’s app, a good way to communicate when in the move) to a very beautiful villa and adjacent set of buildings and gardens, not to forget the lovely vineyard surroundings in this special part of Tuscany. The accommodation consists of three cases each with varying numbers of bedrooms, ours being Orto, with two beds each with ensuites. Very warm welcome from Marta and all the team here very pleasant. There is a lot of visitation to the property with wine tastings etc. but the hotel accommodation is quiet and separate. It is not a full service hotel, but rather a place where you can live as if in your own apartment, which suited us and our friends. We made good use of the reasonably equipped kitchen and living areas, although better access to an outdoor area would have been appreciated - it appears that the other two cases, Casale and a larger one, do have outdoor access, but one has four bedrooms and the other five, so really for larger groups. The gardens re spectacular and the pool area enjoys a lovely view too. Breakfast is good, in a wonderful room, and dinner in the same room, Ara Jani, is exceptional… the chef Elena Monti, is very gifted and presented a lovely set of options ( a fixed menu) each night. Sadly we couldn’t do justice to it along with daily lunchtime expeditions… All in all a lovely stay and well recommended

We stayed at Argiano Dimore for 3 days and were looking forward to it as the highlight of our Tuscany trip. The advertised pictures looked incredible. However unfortunately we were left disappointed by what the accommodation offers in reality. Expecting to be able to enjoy a pool as advertised on their website and with 25 degrees Celsius outside, we were told the pool is a „seasonal pool“ and not currently open. The rooms are nice, but else the hotel does not offer much. Not even a glass of wine as a welcome (which one would think an easy thing to offer for a vinery of this caliber), nor a complimentary bottle of water in the room, or any of those small gestures that make one feel welcome as a guest. The breakfast is standard, but again nothing special, for the room prices one would certainly expect much more (and we did have amazing high quality breakfasts in other accommodations in Tuscany, most with a lower price tag than Argiano Dimore). The tour of the winery / wine cellar comes with another hefty price tag, even for guests. One is not made to feel very welcome by the staff either - the feeling we got was that this is an elite winery and that we should be happy to be here. When providing the feedback on checkout and hoping for a small refund as we were not able to use the pool facilities, we were left high and dry. Again an easy thing (we find) for a hotel to do, even if it is just a small refund / gesture. So in summary: not worth it in our eyes for just a nice room!

Si vous voulez avoir une carte postale du Val d’Orcia à 360 degrés, n’hésitez plus vous êtes où il faut être. Bien entendu on est ici au milieu des vignes pas sur un piton rocheux mais Montalcino est à un quart d’heure en voiture. Se promener sur le domaine et passer du temps à ne rien faire (le farniente est un concept adapté à l’endroit) à la piscine doit être inscrit à votre agenda. Vous pourrez déguster sous une superbe tonnelle une salade et un Brunello en contemplant la vallée. Ne passez pas à côté de la visite de la cave avec le directeur général avant de partir car c’est un musée ! Outre les vins de Montalcino, une collection de Bordeaux hallucinante vous fera rêver si vous vous intéressez au vin. Maintenant quelques points négatifs à souligner : 1- les chambres au rez-de-chaussée sont sombres, en été ça passe, à une période moins lumineuse c’est très juste 2- un seul fauteuil pour 2, dommage, à 450€ la chambre on aurait apprécié d’en avoir un chacun 3- l’insonorisation avec la chambre du dessus est vraiment un souci si vous avez des « éléphants » comme voisins, réveil aux aurores garanti (6h pour notre cas) 4- si vous consommez demandez le prix des verres de vin, il n’y a aucune carte, vous demandez ce que vous voulez. Résultat : un « dé à coudre » à 21€ m’est resté au travers de la gorge 5- le petit déjeuner est bien sans être du niveau de la prestation attendue. Bonne charcuterie mais 2 jours sans fromage, sur 6 jours c’est beaucoup En conclusion, un endroit où il fait bon passer du temps à profiter de l’endroit et des environs mais attention aux petits détails qui font souvent la différence entre un grand établissement et un plus « prétendant »
