Nous avons passé deux jours dans ce boot camp et avons vécu une expérience extraordinaire . Chambre/tente de luxe au milieu de la jungle . Dormir avec le bruits des animaux , profiter d’un jacuzzi privatif , observer les étoiles …. Nous avons adoré Le personnel était aux petits soins et le safari organisé par l’hôtel était top avec un excellent guide passionné et passionnant Merci Nous recommandons vivement car ce niveau de service est de plus en plus rare

We spent 2 nights at the bush camp. The accommodation was very good, bedroom was well furnished with a very comfortable bed. The ensuite bathroom was more basic than the bedroom but had everything you needed! The plunge pool at the back of the room was very welcome after a dusty safari trip! Arun, the naturalist, who accompanied us on both safaris was excellent - very knowledgable. He made sure that we visited the best areas, we had plenty of sightings including one excellent leopard sighting. The food at the camp was the best we had anywhere in Sri Lanka, cooked by a guy from the local village. A very different experience from a normal hotel but we really enjoyed it

There’s so much positive feedback to share about our stay at Makini but our top three highlights: 1. The staff, from the moment we arrived to the minute we left, the staff treated us like royalty. They were attentive, friendly and fun! Special call out to Aroon for being our expert guide on safari and the bush walks around the property. He is knowledgeable and took the time to ensure we had a memorable stay. 2. The accommodation, we have stayed at 6 different hotels over the last few weeks and Makini was our favorite. Comfy beds, clean and luxurious room with a private pool! 3. The experiences, we did two bushwalks and a safari as well as impromptu star gazing. We learned a lot about the local wildlife, flora and fauna but even more about the people, history and culture of Sri Lanka. The best stay in Sri Lanka, Thankyou to Maddi and his team.

We enjoyed a wonderful overnight stay at Makini Bushcamp as part of our holiday in Southern Sri Lanka. On arrival we were served a delicious curry lunch and then set out on our jeep safari around Yala. We were not disappointed, seeing the elusive leopard, many deer, several hares, elephants, peacocks and grey lemurs. We stopped at a lakeside for a drink as the sun set. It was magical. The plunge pool was essential to cool down before a romantic BBQ dinner. The tent was beautiful in its design and fully air conditioned. The following morning we went out on a bush walk with our guide and encountered evidence of elephants feeding nearby, along with other track markings. Fabulous scenery along the route. We loved our short stay at Makini Bushcamp and valued the experience offered.

What an amazing property. Rustic with a sense of luxury, which adds to its charm. Well-appointed tented chalets with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Staff are very friendly and attentive, and the food was lovely. They run their own safaris with each tent having its own private vehicle and informative guide. Close by to Yala NP. Great Sundowners!

The place is very rustic and off the beaten track. The service was super and the safari trips were outstanding. Food very good. Would highly recommend if you want a camping type experience. Rooms are air-conditioned. Tea and drinking water provided in the rooms. WiFi available and while not great…better than nothing. The team is passionate about what they do and look to offer a wonderful experience.
