Really disappointing stay at Bannisters by the Sea. It was tired, worn around the edges and dated. The building looked like a ‘70s motel. Take a plug with you for you phone as no usb sockets!! The pool was absolutely stunning and very clean. The staff were very friendly although there seemed to be a lack of anyone in overall charge. The bedsheets were ok but the duvet and pillows were not great quality and not what we expected at this level of £££ Molly Mook is a stunning area with breathtaking beaches and coastline. I’d definitely go to the area again but would not return to Bannisters

We were booked into Bannisters Pavillon and decided it would be more convenient to upgrade to by the sea. There is no receptionist or any assistance available between 8.00pm and 9.00am. On arrival we checked in only to find there is no help with baggage. Our room was fine. At the pool there is no attendant and you are expected to take your own sunbed mattress from the store room. Fortunately in the high wind one of the staff from the pool bar gave us assistance. The area between Rick Steins and the pool was very tired and not clean. This is a very expensive hotel and needs to improve its customer service .

Bannisters Pavilion is so overrated. - Rooms are well below average. - Pool is tiny. - Your view is directed at houses and the street. - Very Limited parking. - A lot of maintenance needed - Receptionist not helpful I ignored two friends warnings about their terrible experiences at Banisters. I dismissed both of them and was sold by the pictures on Bannisters socials and website. The photographer should get an award.
