We had an amazing Sunday lunch here, (mains and desserts) while staying near by - the food is excellent quality and very tasty. The staff were friendly and attentive - my son had a coughing fit and the landlord kindly brought him a glass of water. We couldn't fault it.

Quite often chose to go here with friends and family, there's a great atmosphere, always friendly and welcoming. The food is delicious, we had brie, bacon & cranberry ciabata & shared a dish of cheesy chunky chips (delious treat!). The chef came out to see if everything was alright, he was a very polite, friendly and professional young man!

Had Sunday lunch here on a spur of the moment booking - everywhere else we rang was already fully booked, so thought we’d give this a try as they could fit us in - which says a lot in itself. It was very quiet and had absolutely no atmosphere whatsoever. The food was ‘ok’ but the service was very slow and we had to wait ages. It was a hot meal on a wet day - that’s about it though.

We have been here many times while on Holiday in Somerset, and this year was just as expected - PERFECT ! The food is fabulous and the portions are HUGE, so don't eat for the whole day, if you are going for an evening meal ! I had the Mushroom and Cheese Omelette with fries and salad - HUGE ! It was gorgeous. Others had the Beef Stroganoff, Halloumi Salad, and also the Chill Concarne. The Steak and Ale Pie was excellent too - again, HUGE ! The service was second to none - the Waiter was right on the ball, pleasant and very efficient - WELL DONE to him. The whole experience was fantastic and we went twice in our weeks Holiday, and will certainly go back there next year. You won't be disappointed by your visit.

Party of seven between Christmas and NYE which included three young children. Tasty (not fast-food-esque) chicken goujons and proper (local) sausages, chips and beans kept them all happy, plus ice-cream for pudding. Adults had enchilada from the specials board x 2 (tasty and just that bit different), fish and chips (delicious and huge) and All-Day-Brunch (huge and delicious) . All meals freshly cooked to order, yet all still arrived together - good co-ordination from the kitchen. Waiting staff attentive and friendly. Landlord serves good, real beer as well as a variety of gins & tonics. Will definitely return.
