We've stayed at Tahoe Ridge Resort 3 of the last 5 years, and this year's stay left us looking elsewhere. We ran into two significant problems that were handled poorly. We booked a two-room suite and noticed the heater did not work on the smaller side. My wife reached out to the front desk informing them of the issue. We didn't receive a response, and the heat was not fixed three days later when we checked out. The one road to the resort was closed for 3-4 hours one evening due to a traffic collision, and we were stuck down the hill wondering if we needed to book an alternate hotel for the night. There was no communication from the resort, and when we called the main number we were unable to reach the front desk. My wife finally reached a person on the reservations line who was rather rude and seemed bothered that we were calling. This year's experience has us looking elsewhere for next year's Tahoe trip.

It was definitely cheaper than staying downtown. We were there for the Darius Rucker concert. We liked the breakfast included and the gym facility. We did not like no A/C, the pillows or the bed. The drive isn't bad to go to the casinos (you have to be prepared to pay $25-30 for parking), but I don't recommend it if you plan to drink as the road is very windy, dark and precarious. The shuttle service is helpful, but if you're out late, you are paying to get back between $30-50. The facility is spread out, so be prepared to walk around a little bit. Plenty of covered parking. This place would be ideal for winter time as it seems very cozy. There are activities for a nice family vacation. Staff were very helpful and polite. This is a time share, so be prepared for it to be offered, but they weren't pushy, which was pleasant. They understand you are there to relax.

After a long drive waited an hour in line just to check in, front desk was understaffed. Then our neighbors in the adjoining room were loud and partied all night until 5am. We called security twice.

The room was very clean, comfortable and spacious. We will definitely be coming back with the children as there are a lot of activities for all on the property. Only a few miles away from downtown South Lake Tahoe. Loved our stay.

This was our 3rd year going to the property. Each year one or more of the reasons/amenities we go to the property was broken. In addition, the furniture, which we use to regard as old with personality, are now decayed and decrepit. The stools in the bar all have tears in the leather.

No A/C in units andit was hot. Staff said they'd deliver fan to unit but never did.

NO AC! There was no warning, no disclaimer prior to booking about how uncomfortable it was going to be. Do not come her if it’s over 75. I’m writing this at 3:40am because I can’t sleep so I’m just going to leave for home now. I’m sure it’s fine in the winter, but they should just be closed down during the warmer months. We also waited two hours after check to get into our hot box of a room. The towels are also sandpaper. Easily the most uncomfortable place I’ve paid to stay in.

This is not ideal for warmer months. There is no AC, the room heated up to over 80 degrees, these are like time share rooms so it’s very different from a hotel, the jets in the spa didn’t work, indoor pool was locked, outdoor hot tub wasn’t heated, food from the only restaurant onsite was terrible. I can see this being great for winter activities but terrible for the summer.

First I blame ********** for not listing that there is NO A/C!! There was one fan in the room and a ceiling fan in each room. So in the middle of summer no AC is no beuno. We had to sleep with the windows open, hearing everything outside like people having “relations”. We asked for another fan they said they’d bring one never did until the next day when we asked again. We didn’t even stay at the actual property we stayed down the way in another OLDER property that they own. (Ridge Crest) Trash in the lobby of the property we stayed at smelled of bad seafood for the two days we were there because no one emptied the trash in there. Trash was left outside doors with maid carts just left in the hallways. Called ********** and was on the phone for an hour before the phone disconnected. They said all they can do was look for another property which we were already doing as we were on the phone with them and found nothing reasonable. Thumbs down
