Homewood Suites By Hilton Milwaukee Downtown

My husband and I travel to Milwaukee each year for his birthday. We chose this hotel for its location in proximity to our dinner reservation and the attractions we had planned. There were several negative reviews for this hotel regarding check in, cleanliness, and parking, I'd like to share my feedback to ensure travelers do not deter from staying at this hotel for those reasons. Upon arrival we were promptly greeted by a friendly front desk staff and were able to check in promptly at 4pm. We were able to conveniently park in their side lot while we brought our belongings up to our room. The room was extremely spacious and had beautiful upgrades and convenient amenities such as a full kitchen. The high ceilings really made this room unique. Everything in the room was very clean. There is a parking garage directly across from the hotel which was easy to access and only cost $22.00 a night to park. When staying in downtown MKE it is to be expected that you will pay for parking, and knowing our car was in a covered garage was peace of mind. We choose to Uber to our destinations, so we didn't have to find parking multiple times, and we never had to wait more than a few minutes for our ride to arrive. My only disappointment was there was no happy hour. I was under the impression there was a cocktail hour offered, but it didn't take away from our stay, as there were several liquor stores within walking distance to grab a drink for the room while we got ready. Breakfast in the morning was plentiful with options, fresh, hot, and the egg bites were delicious. The last thing I will add which is huge for me, they have complimentary water, hot water for tea, and coffee in the lobby at all times. I hate forgetting to bring a water bottle for the middle of the night when staying at a hotel, so I loved this feature. I would absolutely stay at this hotel again in the future! Don't let the negative reviews sway your decision. This was a beautiful, newly converted hotel that you should absolutely check out next time you are staying in the area.

The hotel itself is beautiful and our room was clean and very spacious. We were able to get garage parking, so we didn’t have any issues finding a spot. The only drawback I’d say was not having a pool, but it didn’t stop my kids from having fun with the splash pad. We’d definitely stay here again.

We had a great experience here. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and we appreciated the kitchen plates and utensils. Appreciated the breakfast and seating area. We will come back again.

The woman who checked me in was not friendly at all. She didn’t say one word to me besides that she needed to see my drivers license. She never explained the breakfast, parking etc. The room next to mine had music blaring until 3 am and neither me nor my young daughter slept until then. I called the front desk three times and they made a weak attempt to stop it and then gave up. I never post reviews but had to because this was one of the worst hotel experiences I have had. I would definitely stay at one of the other nicer hotels nearby.

The front staff were unfriendly and unprofessional and the hot tub was out of service. The room was very pretty with large window and automatic curtains and bed was comfy and clean.

Terrible experience. ********** indicate they hold $50/night for incidental, but when you get there, they charges you (not hold) $75/night for incidental. When you ask them for a charge summary, they refuse to give them to you because we booked thru ********** not with them directly. For a nightly rate of $269 per night, there are plenty other choices in the area.

Staff was very friendly, the room was clean and in a great location. We enjoyed our stay very much and would return.
