We came to reception to check in at 3.15pm, the room wasn’t ready. There was two people on reception, Emily and Colin who looked like they were panicking as there was a long line of guests waiting to check in and neither of them had any idea which rooms had been cleaned. 3pm should have been out check in time when the room should have been ready. After a 20 minute wait, they gave me the card, didn’t even bother to tell me what room number it was, what floor, where the lift/ stairs was, just not good customer service at all. Then after waiting all that time, I got up to the room to find it hadn’t been cleaned from the last person! I took photos of this if evidence is requested as I was so disgusted that after all that, I’d been sent to a room that hadn’t been touched by cleaners, dirty towels and bedding everywhere, a bin and worktop full of rubbish, just disgusting. I went all the way back down to reception to tell them, to which I wasn’t even given an apology for, I was just told I needed to wait until they looked to check what room I could have. I waited almost another 20 minutes for this. Thankfully this next room was clean, although it looked very basic, not even a couch in the room and walls were patchy with dark black marks. I left the hotel for the evening for a party an hour later than what I needed to leave due to the messing around with the room. I came back at 10.30pm to the vibration of music coming from the bar/ club next door. I thought it might calm down after I while but it went on all through the night and I barely slept. When checking out, there was no one on reception so I had to just drop the key in the box but I wanted to make a complaint. I have stayed at many premier inns over the years including city centres next to bars etc and never experienced being disturbed by music like that. And never had such bad customer service!
