"We had the best time at Pente Elies in Pollonia. The hotel is very conveniently located, just a 2 minute walk to the harbour where you’ll find great restaurants. The rooms were clean and nicely decorated with lots of beautiful Cycladic stone features. Eleni was friendly and attentive, even from before we arrived! When we checked in she gave us loads of great recommendations of places to visit on the island. I would highly recommend staying at Pente Elies and we will definitely be back!"

"We have often travelled to the fantastic Cycladic island of Milos. This year, however, we only stayed for 3 nights to visit friends. So we decided to book a very cheap accommodation away from the tourist hustle and bustle. We were very excited to see what awaited us. And lo and behold, we were very positively surprised! The detached complex is, as stated in the description, outside the village of Pollonia - Milos. The best thing is the absolutely unobstructed and therefore fantastic view from the balcony of the Greek Cycladic islands!!! There is also a parasol, table and seating. The rooms are big enough for three nights, and there is also a small kitchen for preparing breakfast. However, the narrow kitchen is not really suitable for larger cooking. The accommodation is very clean, the shower and toilet worked. Unfortunately, when showering, you have to wait several minutes for the hot water. This means that many litres of water run down the drain unused. And water is often a precious commodity on the Greek islands. Notes: In our opinion, the older house with several rooms is very noisy! There are also some rooms on the ground floor that are accessible for people in wheelchairs. As the house is located outside the village of Pollonia - Milos, as already described, a car or motorbike is recommended. On foot to the village and the public bus stop, you should expect a 20-minute walk. The access road is not asphalted! We think the price-performance ratio is excellent. And finally, our compliments to the very friendly staff. Bravo!!!"

"As soon as we reserved, we heard from the fabulous Eleni, who helped us with everything from reserving a rental car to sending us an item we left behind in our room. We loved our little villa, where we parked beneath an olive tree and were regularly visited by friendly cats. It's right across the street from the best bakery in town and a very easy walk from the beach filled with restaurants and bars. Despite that, it's super quiet, with only sounds of a crowing rooster in the morning. We can't wait to return!"

"We spent 8 nights here during our wonderful part of the holiday in Kimolos, you can reach it on foot from the Chora (uphill dirt road, a bit tiring if you have heavy luggage); compared to the "centre" of the town it is another 5 minutes on foot; obviously a scooter is recommended to get around the island. Our apartment was very spacious, clean and comfortable, recently refreshed. Upon arrival we found a cat under the bed, but in Greece it can happen. The cleaning, very thorough and daily, satisfied us, even the bathroom: spacious and equipped with all the necessary kit. Next to the structure there is Twins, a small place useful for breakfast, also for takeaway. As I recommend 2 things to the managers: 1) upon arrival a car would be appreciated for the transfer to the accommodation (the reception is located near the port), we traveled around a lot and had quite heavy luggage, as well as a little tiredness , having to bring them ourselves was not a great welcome, and the only taxi available...was not available 2) the welcome and explanations about the island and the structure upon our arrival were very precise and welcome, perhaps a a little too long; when you arrive in a place the first desire is to sit in the room, this must be taken into account. For the rest everything is very good, we recommend it."

"Avoid Milos: When Greek Island Hospitality Turns Ice Cold I strongly advise against visiting Milos, and particularly staying at Finakas Studios What started as a promising Greek island getaway turned into a perfect example of how some destinations prioritize profit over people. The Price Paradox Milos charges accommodation rates that exceed even Santorini despite being a small, lesser-known island with limited infrastructure and fewer attractions. This pricing inconsistency reveals an opportunistic approach that exploits the lack of accommodation alternatives on the island. Fair Weather Friends When everything goes smoothly, the hotel staff appears welcoming and accommodating. But the moment passengers face travel difficulties which is exactly when you need support most they completely change their attitude. Ferry cancellations are frequent and make the island inaccessible, yet no flexibility is offered whatsoever. Cold Shoulders When You Need Help Once problems arise, these supposedly hospitable hosts become cold, unresponsive, and indifferent to travelers' situations. They either stop responding entirely or reply with icy, dismissive messages that show zero consideration for the passenger's predicament. Even when it becomes physically impossible to honor your reservation due to cancelled ferries, they refuse any commercial gesture or understanding. The Real Face Behind the Smile These are not genuine hosts who care about their guests' experience they are cold, profit-driven operators who are only interested in taking your money. The moment circumstances become challenging, their true nature emerges: complete indifference to customer welfare and a purely mercantile mentality that puts profit before people. My Recommendation Save your money and choose destinations where hospitality isn't just a marketing facade. There are countless Greek islands with genuine warmth and fair pricing where you'll be treated as a valued guest, not just a source of revenue to exploit."
