If we were younger and more mobile, we would have enjoyed our stay more. The campus is beautiful and laid out like a village rather than a single hotel structure. We had more privacy because of this and the aesthetics were well above average. However, because of our limited mobility, we had to ask for help with luggage and just getting around. And this is where The Homestead excelled: The staff was not only prepared to help but exceptionally patient and accommodating. I'm not comfortable asking for help (working class background?), but my wife, whose birthday we were celebrating, loved her experience. The dining, including ambiance, service and quality of food, was exceptional. We went off-property for her 'birthday dinner', but if I had it to do over again, we'd have dined at Simon's (their restaurant) that night as well. A little pricey, but when we celebrate, 'nice' is worth the price, and dining at Simon's is no exception. The room pricing is fair and the quality of the amenities is above average. Now....a couple of hiccups....part of our entertainment service was not operating and could not be repaired at the time; and secondly, on the morning of our second day, our power was cut by a construction crew (expansion on the property), necessitating our moving to another room. That crew was pretty noisy at times as well. Management and staff went above and beyond to make up for any annoyances and inconveniences by adjusting our costs even buying us dinner.

We booked this stay specifically for the brand new pools for my daughter’s 13th birthday. We checked in and instead of informing us at the time that the heater was down, we were informed as we went to the pools an hour later. This was the only reason we chose to stay here. We should have been made aware upon check in and given the option to reschedule.

Couples retreat We had a great evening. The hot tubs in the snow were amazing. The pool was heated as well. The room was comfortable and we loved the warmth from the fireplace. It was an enjoyable evening and a relaxing evening.

Beautiful Staycation Amazing resort for a staycation, privacy and quietness 😁 Definitely a must and will be returning..hopefully sooner than later!

I loved the peace that you can find in this place. I did not like that at 10:20pm the staff came to us and turn off the firepit becuase they turn it off at 10:20pm. If you want to enjoy the fire during the nigh, its not possible if you dont have a private one. I found that not polite.

Went to celebrate my wife’s birthday. Ended up bit of us being spoiled. Great facility, great services. Pool restaurant, 1886, was wonderfully. Cheeseburger was just what I needed. Milk House hit the spot.
