Nice play to stay in Middletown and very convenient for visiting Wesleyan
Facilities are a bit dated
Rooms could benefit from HVAC updates
Bathrooms small and spartan for the cost
Hall can be noisy if near elevator especially on 1st floor

The Inn is convenient to downtown as well as Wesleyan. We were assigned rooms 20 & 21 which were on the ground floor which abutted the parking and trash area and back access door. Every time someone accessed the back doors, our rooms would shake - enough to wake me up. And, then at the 5am the garage truck collected the trash from the adjacent alley which again, woke us up. The hotel is the best choice in town but be sure to ask for a room on a higher floor.

The hotel manager appeared to follow me down my hallway and watched me enter my room with my child. I did not feel safe. It was not super dirty in the room but just felt like it was in need of repair. The heating unit appeared to have mold. The room was freezing cold but I didn’t want to run the dirty heating unit or ask for help. The shower was a cold trickle. Would avoid in future for sure.

Helpful staff, cute hotel. Restaurant was closed in the AM for staffing or other probs… so had to find other breakfast but there are options walking distance.

Middletown Gem
The Inn is quaint, cozy and inviting. The front desk staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Especially enjoyed dining in the Tavern...all the wait staff awesome! Highly recommend staying!!!

Great staff support. Clean, spacious room. Only complaint is the hostess for a wedding left a gift bag which we were to receive upon check-in and we had to ask the next day where it was after our hostess friend asked us if we had received it. It was behind the desk with other guests’ bag which the did not receive, either.

Free parking is available behind the hotel. A number of good restaurants open to 10pm are within a few minutes walk. However, they are not open for breakfast and the on-premises restaurant, Tavern at the Armory, is only open for dinner. There is no convenient grocery store. So finding breakfast can be a challenge. Service at Tavern at the Armory is very slow and I would not recommend it.

Comfy bed but overall the room is not very clean. Dusty surfaces, behind and around furniture is not vacuumed etc.
Handrail in shower came off by just a gentle use.
Overall, nice looking facility that could use a basic deep clean
As the only hotel in town, it would be great to see them improve their overall cleanliness before I would stay again

At this day and age which hotel does not have a safe for customer valuables. They preferred liability over customer safety.
