Hand gel dispenser didn't work in the bathroom they was only a little bit of toilet paper in the bathroom less than a quarter of a roll so had to go looking for a member of staff see if I could have some more I prepaid for two morning's breakfast they avatars baked beans on the breakfast but they was none asked a member of staff she replied they haven't been delivered the room was very hot couldn't sleep

I recently had the unfortunate experience of staying at the Travelodge in Middlesbrough, and I must say it was the most disappointing hotel stay I have ever had. The overall condition of the place left much to be desired, and I cannot overlook the numerous issues I encountered during my stay. The first thing that hit me as soon as I entered the hotel was the overpowering smell of stale cigarette smoke. It seemed like the entire establishment was saturated with it, making it an extremely unpleasant environment. Moreover, both the hotel room and the corridors were in dire need of a thorough cleaning. The carpets appeared filthy and made me question if they had ever been properly cleaned. While the room itself was spacious, the poor design overshadowed any potential comfort. The bed was awkwardly positioned almost against the wall, which made it difficult to access from one side. Adding to the disappointment, there was no proper wardrobe, just a few hangers on a pole and this meant the unsightly, stained carpet was on constant display. Hygiene standards were shockingly low. The absence of pillow protectors was alarming and made me feel uncomfortable about using the bedding. The duvet and towels had visible brown stains and the towels were so worn that they were practically threadbare. It's unacceptable for a hotel to provide such poor quality linens to their guests. Additionally, the room lacked adequate lighting and bedside tables, making it challenging to use the space comfortably. The bathroom was equally disappointing – cramped and barely allowing enough room to move around. To top it off, the soap dispenser in the bathroom was broken, a clear sign of neglect. One of the most concerning discoveries during my stay was the hotel's association with housing vulnerable adults and individuals struggling with addiction issues. I encountered a man who was clearly under the influence of ***** in the reception area, which made me feel unsafe and concerned for my well-being. The hotel should have informed guests about this situation at the time of booking to allow them to make an informed decision. All in all, my experience at Travelodge, Middlesbrough, was absolutely appalling. I cannot fathom why such substandard conditions are tolerated in a hospitality establishment. I will never consider staying here again and I urge others to avoid this place at all costs. I plan on reaching out to the management to express my deep dissatisfaction and to request compensation for the unpleasant experience. This hotel was nowhere near worth the money I spent and I hope they take my feedback seriously and improve their services for the sake of future guests.

had a short stop over in Middlesbrough .the hotel was clean and the staff made us feel welcome as walked in the door ,the room was clean .and the food was hot and good .even the plates warm .Just you must do the number plate when you book in .
