POSITIVES: 1. Location - peaceful, across the road from Metung board walk and lake. 2. Spacious - large open plan kitchen, dining and living room combined, one bedroom, bathroom (with a shower), toilet and balcony. 3. Free Wifi and Netflix. 4. Well equipped, modern kitchen (coffee machine was a bonus). 5. Washing machine. 6. Toiletries were provided. 7. Reverse cycle A/C. 8. Access to games room, swimming pool and sauna. NEGATIVE: 1. Old style window in the toilet with a permanent opening, meant that it was absolutely freezing in there.

Stayed here for 3 nights and the 4 of us were very impressed, apart from a cottage with a beautiful view overlooking the Gippsland lake , our cottage was so clean and fresh looking . We have stayed at many places , but this was throughly clean throughout the whole place . McMillan Resort has everything, lovely pool and a great games room , so very family friendly , also a short walk into the Metung Village, which has cafes and a great pub . We will definitely be a returning guests .

What a wonderful hidden gem of a getaway. We stayed here for two nights whilst driving from Sydney to Melbourne. The cottage we booked was exactly as offered and had all the amenities you would need. Lovely clean rooms, comfortable beds and very quiet at night time. Location is in a complex away from the road (which isn't busy anyway) amongst trees. This is a self catering complex, so make sure you bring snacks, food etc.

A beautiful location opposite the lakes and a 15 minute walk into the Meting activity area, with great facilities (the pool and games room) the unit was very comfortable with loads of room even for multiple families plus very friendly and helpful staff.

This resort is meticulously presented and maintained. An absolute credit to the managers. Our 1 BR villa was enormous in space and appeared relatively new with all modern appliances. It’s located in a peaceful and tranquil setting opposite the lake with a non strenuous stroll along the boardwalk into town. There is a large games room/community room offering plenty to entertain children and adults alike. The heated pool proved popular as did the sauna. Anyone considering staying at Metung I can strongly recommend staying here which also has villas to accommodate large families.

We recently stayed here for 3 nights (not enough) We had a beautiful villa right at the top of the property so we could have a small view of the water from our lovely balcony. The villa was meticulous, in cleanliness and decor. There was everything that you could possibly need in the kitchen. Also extra items in the cupboards should you needI it. It felt just like home. Just as well as there was not a lot of choice in regard to eating out, so we stayed in more than we generally do. The grounds are very well managed and looked lovely. We didn't use the entertainment room but it looked equally impressive with plenty to do if you had a family. We would highly recommend this property and we will certainly be returning. David the manager was very helpful and welcoming.
