Stayed here for a week with a friend and couldn’t fault the hotel. It’s perfectly located close to lifts, simple but comfy rooms and the food is excellent. With Meribel being a typically expensive resort this is a great budget option, we will be returning next year.

Chambre pas très propre, toiles d'araignée sur la fenêtre extérieure et intérieure. Moquette au sol n'a pas été aspirée avant notre arrivée ni entre nos 2 nuits. Peu de chaines sur TV: manquent France 2, France 3 et quelques autres. Une nuit à 4 heures l'alarme incendie s'est déclenchée. Personne de responsable dans l’hôtel, personne n'est venu ni ne s'est manifesté. Heureusement que l'alarme s'est arrêtée seule après 8 minutes de sonnerie épouvantable. Je déconseille fortement

Not going to lie but i was worried... a last minute holiday but I think some have been really harsh on this hotel. Yes it's basic, the carpets and some room furniture a little tired BUT for skiing it's exactly what you want (and i can be real hotel snob!). I travelled with my 13 yr old daughter and it was a great holiday. Comfy beds, warm room, clean bathroom, made up daily and stacks of hot water for a good soak after the slopes. We were in room 4 so away from Jack's but others staying above the bar said it was fine.... the staff are great, the food good, breakfast, afternoon tea a welcome treat, prosecco and canapes and 3 course meal, my daughter coped with even her limited taste, breakfast good. It is what you make of it, we made lots of friends over breakfast and dinner and we all had a great time socialising after dinner both adults and kids.... location for the ski lifts is great, the public pool for a swim opposite and I wouldn't hesitate in going back..... it would be nice though if gradually the rooms and landing carpets could be revamped a little but it's not a biggy and great value for money.......

I stayed at this Hotel with a group of friends in Early March for a Ski Holiday. The Hotel is more like a Hostel than a Hotel. It is not half as good as a 4* Hotel and therefore in my opinion does not even rate as more than that 1* The twin rooms are minuscule with barely space to walk alongside the beds. There is one tiny wardrobe barely large enough for one persons clothes. One person may need to live out of their suitcase ( as we did in the room I shared). Our group was allocated rooms above Jacks Bar ( linked to but not run by the Hotel) Noise from the Groups playing Music in the bar in the late afternoons and evening was very loud in the room (which itself acted like a reverberating ‘Boom Box’) Even later ‘Muzak’ from the bar could still be heard. The Hotel hat two fairly ‘soulless’ Lounges ( with comfy sofas) one with no windows, which no one used. No lift so ski gear had to be dragged up awkward staircase by guests Ludicrous security system of punch in codes at doors to Hotel, ski Room and boot room. That ‘Security’ was totally defeated by the codes being given to each guests, printed on the reverse of a ‘business’ card which had The Hotel Name on it. (I picked up two that had been dropped by other guests outside the Hotel during the course of the week) Good Points: Excellent Location. Very good helpful staff who did the best with what they had. Good, Hot and cold breakfast and Good well cooked Evening Dinner (albeit with limited choices). Free wine,regularly topped during dinner ( basic quality) Sorry, but I would not return!

Previous reviews I'd read before going said the hotel was a bit tired and I do have to agree, however, this was more than made up for by the fabulous staff, great food, comfy bed, hot shower , bath which was great for soaking aching bones and muscles at the end of the day, warm room and closeness to the lifts. We had a fabulous week, thanks so much to all the staff, you were brilliant

Ski Holiday with Inghams I have stayed at the Grangettes before about 12-15 years ago for a ski holiday, and it was a dump back them, so I am pleased that a few things have changed. The ski company Inghmas have the hotel side of the Grangettes , and the drinking side is still Jacks bar ( non Inghams) There is an interconnecting door, for the Inghams guests to use , and Inghams guests get a discount if they use Jacks bar, if you show your room key. The rooms have been painted and refurbed, they are nice and clean, free wi-fi and TV , but are still basic. Plenty of very hot water no shortage there. If you want luxury its not for you, if you want to ski in and out, its the best location, they also have a ski room and another boot room with lots of heaters for your ski boots, all very secure. no problem with theft. This hotel is a clean basic hotel for a ski holiday, going skiing, eat have a beer and get your head down. The food however has been transformed since I last stayed there, breakfast, afternoon cake and tea, evening drinks before dinner. The food was excellent. Its not Michelin star, but it every meal was excellent, full flavoursome food, and plenty of it . even the free wine with evening meals was a good quality wine, not the usual paint ********. Apart from using cold plates for breakfast , which I had to ask to get them warmed so my food didnt get cold, I have no complaints at all. The food was great. loved it. THE STAFF..... all were excellent, very pleasant , very helpful , they could not have done more, thank you to all of them, a credit to Inghams. THE BAD APPLE. Unfortunately, there is always someone who lets the others down, and this was the big girl with Blue hair, I forgot her name. but I dont expect to be back chatted to by a staff member when I ask for something, I am a paying guess and I was always polite, she needs to buy a book on manners and read it. apart from her rudeness it was a great holiday. will I go back , defiantly, great location, great food, clean but basic room, perfect for skiing. see you again.
