There's much to like about this lodge. Especially if you get Cabin 8, which has a view of the mountain, though obstructed. But, it's quiet, the place is clean & well furnished, (e.g. washer, dryer, mini fridge, stove, microwave, etc.) You're a few minutes (by foot) to the McCloud Market which, despite its coldness to tourists, has plenty of groceries to bring back to the lodge. And, if your car gets covered in brown soil from climbing dirt roads in the area, there's a DIY car wash across the street. "Downtown" McCloud is a few blocks further, which makes this a convenient location, especially if you're heading out to the Falls, about 15 minutes away by car.

We highly recommend Shasta View lodge for a family trip or a retreat or a ski break. The lodges are so comfy, cozy and beautiful. The backyard offers BBQs with a wonderful and peaceful view on the Mt Shasta! Each time we go there, we feel like home and always sad to leave. People and employees are welcoming, helpful and responsive. Looking forward to going back there!

It was a very quiet, peaceful location with beautiful views of Mount Shasta. It felt very much like we were held in the arms of the Mountain. The room was very clean and offered a lovely array of coffee within the kitchenette. The bed was very nice. All of the perks of home with relaxation of vacation.

Such a big, comfy bed, great ambience with the propane stove fired up we were so snug! A sparkling bathroom, lovely tile. Kitchenette well appointed with great tea selections! Cute outside area, nice big trees nearby. Appreciate the cozy stay!

It’s next to Mt. Shasta Ski Park!! There are yummy food options next door and the grill was great! Spacious cabin that allowed the 4 of us to spread out. This is our second time staying here. The people that manage the cabins are super helpful. We will be back for a 3rd stay soon :)

I recently hosted a family reunion for 32 people at the Shasta View Lodge. We rented the entire lodge and it perfectly accommodated everyone. We are a boisterous, multigenerational family (ages 1 to 90!) and everyone commented on how spacious the rooms were, how expansive and functional the common spaces were. The outside space was perfect for group games, the children outdoor meals and outdoor movie night! The industrial size kitchen made meals for the multitudes a breeze. We all wanted to repeat the experience again! Thank you for providing such a magical place.

We stayed at the Shasta View Lodge last week and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The room was very comfortable and well appointed. We really liked the gas fireplace in the corner of the room, very cozy. We will definitely stay again. Highly recommend!

This is the kind of place you don't want to write too nice a review about for fear of it being "discovered" and then you can't get reservations. Seriously, wonderful. Hiked the McCloud falls bottom to top in thigh deep snow. Absolutely gorgeous.

Amazing place! Stayed three nights but would have stayed longer if there had been availability. Quick response from the owners when we ran out of coffee. Loved the gas fireplace for the chilly mornings and nights. Stay at Shasta View Lodge for a wonderful experience if you have the opportunity.
