"Having not been to Meru since 2008 we decided to stay in the area for a few nights to enable us to explore properly. We chose Ikweta as it was outside the Park but near enough for us to juggle our game drives for the best times. The camp had been well planted up so even at the end of the dry season there was still plenty of garden and undergrowth which made the tents even more attractive. All members of staff were very friendly and helpful, I was brought a second reclining chair after liking the one bagged by my husband so we could both sit comfortably and enjoy watching the bird life outside our tent. Our son and daughter in law enjoyed the nature walks, cleverly arranged to make the site seem much larger than it was. Meals were arranged after the one before (including packed ones) and were really good. The cats were all very well cared for and entertaining, and we all enjoyed the swimming pool, a real delight after a dusty game drive. (After previously staying at altitude where we needed hot water bottles at night the heat was quite a surprise.) Thank you to Susan and all her staff."

"Absolutely excellent in every way. The attention to detail and the customer service is perfect. Such a beautiful place to stay, not to mention the outstanding value for money. The food was delicious with lovely options for me as a vegetarian, without the waste created by the buffet style catering. We also really enjoyed Meru National Park - glorious wide open spaces and very few other cars - we saw so many beautiful birds and animals. We will definitely be back. Thank you to all the staff for making our stay so special. They provided a packed breakfast each morning promptly at 6am so that we were in the park by 6.20 am for the sunrise"
