I made a mistake by booking the wrong date as it was late at night and was getting desperate for somewhere to stay. Matamata was full and it was getting later and later after the car had broken down and a 4 hour wait for the AA to come. The car then needed towing. A really difficult situation. The Horse and Jockey could have given me my money back as I had to pay for accommodation outside Matamata as everything was full. VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH THEIR ATTITUDE will not be every going there and will tell everyone not to go.

Really friendly staff and helpful. The room is really nice and big. Clean and tidy. Just all made really easy for us. Needed a night before flying out of Tauranga and this place was rally convenient and reasonably priced. Just all together a great stay.
