德爾文特瓦特爾飯店(The Derwentwater Hotel)

The location is good for keswick, i get why people say its faulty towers ,its being left to ruin or been patch up roughly in places.could be a really nice hotel. Dont expect free parking again i understand why with being near to keswick but if paid for a room it should be over ruled and could put people off staying .

Happy with stay overall. Could do with a bit of maintenence but it is an old building and for price couldnt complain. Reception staff very pleasant however certain bar staff could do with a smile on their face, it makes all the difference. We would definately use this hotel again as its in an excellent location for keswick.

Our room was spacious and clean with a lovely lake view. Hotel was walkable to Keswick along a country path. The receptionist was excellent and gave us advice on where to eat and drink in Keswick.

It was easy to get to. It is an older building but the rooms are nice and clean. The restaurant/bar are conveniently located on property. The trail to the lake is nice.

When we first got there i used the ladies toilets. Only one out of three in order, urine all over floor and toilet seat...not a great start! Paid extra for a superior room, nothing superior about that room other than lake view. Curtains hanging off rail, stains on sofa, had to ask for loo roll as that hadnt been changed, paint on carpet. I know they are in process of upgrading and my goodness it needs it.

Started with the room upgrade no longer available after receiving email confirmation. The hotel is old and dated which is ok as long as the basics still work. Unfortunately the water pressure didn't reached the top floor so it was cold showers. On a positive the bar food was nice and the breakfast is good value for money

The staff were so friendly - this is a reasonably priced alternative to MANY over-priced hotels in the area and we were very pleased to stay there.

Email from hotel about bidding to upgrade room to a 2 bed apt rather than twin room. Confirmation received enroute.to hotel that bid was accepted. However once we were shown to room to hadn't been cleaned from previous occupants. Wet towels, cups beside the bed etc. However reception couldn't have been more apologetic and offered to clean it right away. We declined and stated we would prefer to remain in our original booking of a twin room. We were adv this was not available but they could put us in a superior room, but with a double bed. We accepted as only a 1 night stay. Room very clean. Staff were very friendly but clearly short staffed. Hotel seems tired in places. But breakfast was good and tasty. Garden area beautiful.

The location is perfect, the staff are very friendly, the breakfast was great and the room was basic but clean.
